    For those that want to make a racial issue out of such marketing observations as yours, there is a dirty little secret that your detractors conveniently leave out: most Black American newspapers have thrived for decades on revenue from the same sort of alcohol ads (tobacco too) you are writing about.

    It’s the usual identity politics shuck-and-jive when someone wants to excoriate you for stating the obvious, but their cultural blinders prevent them from seeing black cultural and political leaders have been making money off of these same products for years. Are Jesse Jackson and his grifter progeny (they do own a beer distributorship) racist, as well ?

    As for Billy Dee, it says a lot about his cultural staying power when he, at his age, can still sweetheart the ladies and work that same beer can three decades later! (LOL)

    On another note, I had to laugh when I saw this story, as it reminded me of your articles on useless Credit Bubble Generation consumerism (Crocs, et al)
