Way back in the '70s, Claire Wolfe wrote:

"America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards."

IMHO the "awkward stage" is about over, and the time to start shooting the bastards is imminent. Any doubts? Note 1) the massive increase in gun sales *even before* Maobama's election, and 2) the various states enacting legislation to effectively nullify federal gun laws on intrastate manufacture & sales. Shooting the bastards when all else fails is, after all, what the 2nd Amendment is all about.

Its really a statement of how the mainstream media is in the pockets of the Dems that little dictators like Pelosi are never exposed for their own private wealth.
Every Republican under the sun is mocked if they are wealthy and successful. ...BUT, the fat cat Democrats are shielded from public exposure by this compliant national media. When was the last time you saw or heard anything about Pelosi's extravagant lifestyle? Never makes the news, does it? Or an expose on the Kennedy's massive family wealth?
But, when Mitt Romney was running, reporters never missed an opportunity to point out how wealthy he was and show pictures of his homes (same for McCain and his wife) TOTALLY A DOUBLE STANDARD
....So, nothing brings me more joy than to see another big city newspaper go under. ....their biased leftist coverage needs to be put to sleep for good.

Great post! But methinks we are past the point of no return. I agree with the impoverished statement above. Until a lot more Americans are living without food and shelter, I don't think we'll see any change. Hate to be pessimistic but I can't even get my own family to acknowledge we're in serious trouble.

Karen, when I turned 18, I started doing massive amounts of research into history, specifically government. I came to the conclusion that the country was on a destiny with failure. The only solution that I could conjur up, one that I hold adamently to this day, is a group of liberty minded states to secede and start a union invisioned by the Articles of Confederation (whether that can be done without military attack from the FEDs is still in question). I have long thought trying to change things in DC were always hopeless. Only when we return power back to the people is there any true freedom. Otherwise it is only guise.

Monsters indeed Karen. I cannot think of words to describe how loathesome they are to me. Resistance....yes. How and what to do is another matter. Excellent article.

"Why do you submit to the people who rule you?" - the simple answer is because the State has the power to destroy me if I don't comply. As an employer, I hate paying for a business license, unemployment taxes and every other tax I have to pay. But what choice do I have? With the stroke of a pen, Nancy Pelosi and her kind can take everything I have in the blink of an eye. I can be jailed, my wife and children can be harmed, all because we have allowed the State to assume this power.

I've concluded we are past the point of no return. The needed level of resistance won't occur until middle class Americans have been impoverished - then it will be too late. As long as we can maintain the illusion of affluence we feel we have too much to lose. Frogs boiled slowly...

Thoreau wrote that there are a thousand people hacking at the branches of evil, for every one striking at the root. However I disagree: the thousands are not hacking at the branches, but simply COMPLAINING about them. Only the restoration of popular state sovereignty-- i.e. each state recognized as a sovereign nation, and each state-citizen being a common ruler thereof-- can make a difference, as the Founders observed; and without it, nothing can change. If we don't act to restore this, we concede it by silence and inaction.

Why do I have images from the TV show RENO911 crossed with Harry Potter (esp. Dobby) and the Borg in my mind as I read this post? Those are the boss of me, and you? Pa-thet-ic! I feel like such a freshman. Well, I guess I get to find out what happens when the Nazi party rules America, does America embrace National Fascism or not? Some do and some don't, but the question is, do the majority? That's the sucky part about living under mob rule. So far the answer has been yes. You don't suppose America could have a change of heart and reject National Fascism?
