When Swing Was King…..so was Lucky Strike

“So round, so firm, so fully packed. So free and easy…..” Once upon a time all of the big stars were linked to tobacco advertising. Here, Frank Sinatra sings Stardust, preceeded by a Lucky Strike commercial, and along with two huge LS logos behind the orchestra. Then of course there’s the sponsorship of Bing Crosby’s show by Chesterfield. I have mint condition copies of both of these here ads (here and here). Even better is the ad promoting “more doctors smoke camels than any other cigarette.”
