What to Eat in a Crisis

Michael Miles has written a fantastic piece about preparation and food choice. He discusses our need for fat, and yes, including heroic saturated fat, so send this commentary to all of your friends and family who still think they should avoid fat and eat diet-fad foods such as frozen dinners and unhealthy “health” cereals. He writes about some of my favorite staples – coconut oil, coconut milk, and ghee.

How do you prepare grass and tree bark for human consumption?

I ask such a question because I soon expect that a gallon of gasoline is going to cost $50.00 or more at the start of our next Imperial War. The result being that truck traffic ceases and the supermarkets will be looted for everything in them.

What is the recipe for roasting a human being on a spit??

Yuk and gross cousin lucky, there’s plenty of grubs and worms, or even sparrows you can hit up before you go all, “Alive” on us.
