I will never be comfortable with the concept of women in combat. Women have proven themselves to be competent at flying helicopters and warplanes but I am of the belief that female ground troops should not be in a war zone.

I live in New York City where females do every thing that males do in employment situations but the average New York City female is quite clueless on the proper ways to raise children! You Betcha!!

Not in favor of the idea of a throng of shaved headed G.I. Jane’s running around, cousin lucky? Me neither, especially on a battlefield, but when I see photo’s like that I see last line of defense, competent self-defense from bad people, from the roving bands of the starving unemployed mindless unethical Socialist products that may be our nations future, excatly what females should know how to do to properly protect their children. The whole world is a war zone, some places are just less affected than others. Plus, it’s just dang fun plinking cans and stuff.

Good clean fun. Any youngster who so desires should get one of those under their Christmas tree, along with adequate training for safe and effective use. Add 5K rounds as a stocking stuffer.

I like the picture. Another child taught the proper use of a weapon. If more women carried, would there be less rape and murder of women? Just asking.

@cousin lucky – Could you be more sexist?

At any rate, this picture it totally infuriating. It’ unbelievable that some people will pay for pink handguards, stocks and magazines! Just think, all that money could be better spent on some decent optics! ;)

I hope that the appropriate manufacturers are farsighted enough to start producing kevlar vests, gas masks, and night vision goggles in kids’s sizes.

I wonder about the effectiveness of women in combat also but then the truth comes shining though when in nature it is the woman that is the killer and the male is the “pretty one”. If you question that remark check into the Black Widow spider and Praying Mantis sexual habits and see who is the killer among them and the Lions. I say arm the women and put them in their own betallion and you’ll see them out preform men often. Hire the killers when you need a war face put on.

Amen, Michael! Nothing makes me happier than to see more kids getting properly trained and enthused about firearms.

@Jared: Yup. And not to sound selfish, but these children turn into adults and therefore voters. Slowly introducing children the wonderful world of shooting is a very good thing. Plus, without guns, there is no freedom. I can’t remember who said it (Justice Scalia?), “Guns are the palladium of liberty.”
