Wal-Mart to Play a Role in Swine Flu VaccinationsThursday, July 30, 2009
Since Wal-Mart executives don’t want to fall out of favor with big government, it has offered up its ‘bigness’ to assist with the government’s vaccination plan. I think I smell a merging of the powers here.
“We are in discussions with CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and others in local and state departments to see what role we might play,” Agwunobi said. “It might be we are a site. It may be help with logistics and with supply chain.”
Considering Warren Buffett’s cooperation with central planners and his role in trying to sell a declining stock market to middle Americans, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Berkshire Hathaway Inc. opening up vaccination supercenters.
