TV Bad, War Good: Bill Buckley is interviewed by Human Events about the conservative movement. In the same paragraph, Buckley proposes that America is taking care of her responsibilities as far as the war on Iraq, but poor Americans, they have so many cultural problems because of evil TV (and I am a TV hater.) From Buckley, we learn that Empire, war, killing, spending 100+ billion to reconstruct Iraq, etc. doesn’t kill a nation — only TV does.

Note Buckley’s comment about rejecting Rand, Welch, and Rothbard in favor of the glorious ex-Trotskyites who started up National Review. He calls this an “exercise of exclusion.”
