Town Halls Still Going Wild

I listened to this town hall on FOX radio. A man told Arlen Spector, “One day God’s going to stand before you, and he’s going to judge you and the rest of your damned cronies up on the Hill. And then you’ll get your just desserts. I’m leaving.” He was escorted out of the building. On Monday night, Maryland Senator Ben Cardin was yelled at and booed, as no one wanted to hear his lying, rehearsed propaganda about all the great things the government is going to do FOR US with their health care trash. This morning, Georgia representative David Scott, who had a rowdy Town Hall meeting last week, found a 4-foot swastika painted on his congressional office. Capitol Police are handling this incident as a ‘hate’ crime! … Because he is black. But we are all free to hate Arlen Spector, who is white. But there’s a twist – Scott’s meeting was scheduled not to talk about health care, but to discuss his “$80 million highway plan through the area that will require the destruction of several, primarily minority-owned homes and businesses.”

I would love to vote for people who would protect us FROM government. People who recognize the danger that comes from the accretion of power and the loss of individuality. People who still have faith in the responsibility and sanctity of the individual. People who understand what it means to be a Human Being.

Our local congresscreature, Gabrielle Giffords, a darling of the Marxist Left, refused to attend a town hall meeting in Tucson after it was “discovered” before the meeting started that “one attendee [to the meeting] dropped a gun” and that Giffords “feared for her safety.”

I think it’s perfectly within reason to assume that the “dropped” gun (incidentally, open carry in Arizona is completely legal in public and on private property, no permits necessary) was a plant staged by Giffords’ own staff to create the impression among the brainless rubes who are her constituents that town hall meetings are dominated by right-wing fascists and to give her a pretext to avoid facing angry constituents who were going to be asking hard questions for which they would demand answers . That aside, it’s refreshing to see that these elitist criminal assholes are starting to become genuinely afraid of the rage prevalent among those they ostensibly “represent” (people are starting to realize that their role as “representatives” is a bullsh** myth too).
