Today I Was Molested

I just opted out of the porno fucking scanner at Detroit Airport, and I was molested by a female agent of the totalitarian state. She put her hands into my pants (INTO), grabbed my boobs, felt my vagina, and checked me over in every nook and cranny. She even spent an inordinate amount of time unraveling my shirt collar and playing with it. My traveling companion – who has traveled very little in recent years – looked on in horror. I took the smartass approach most of the way. This truly was a sexual violation. Welcome to the gulag, my friends.

I intentionally snuck over to the line with old-fashioned metal detector scanner thing, as always. Three or four folks in front of me went through unimpeded. As soon as I stepped up, the man pointed at me and then pointed at the porno scanner. I said “no way.” The calls went out: “Female assistance needed! Female assistance needed!” They made me wait ten minutes, and of course, the gal asked if I wanted a private room. I said nope, I want everyone to see this.

I must admit – I had a female agent that was probably as good as one is going to get at the TSA. She was a “Mom” type, and not one of these Janet Napolitano clones who are suited well for jack boots and male trousers. She actually seemed uncomfortable doing it.

As to the question of what to do should you find yourself in this position – absolutely, and always, opt out of the tactic to control you and keep you at bay. Chertoff’s porno scanners are not only perilous to your health – that is, if you value great health – but they are the state’s reminder that your freedom is a privilege that it arbitrarily hands out on occasion, and don’t you dare forget it.

I have a better idea. How about not flying. If people stop buying tickets, the airlines would have to put pressure on the government to stop this nonsense.
And Karen, sorry this happened to you, but honestly, I think you should clean up your language for articles like these. People would take you more seriously, and would repost to their facebooks. I won’t simply because of the language you used.

I just came back from Holland last week. The airport is set up with a security check point at each gate, not the mass of humanity like in the US. No scanners. They had metal detectors to run over our bodies. Also they did a full pat down.
I figured I’m not in the US, I have no rights, so just take it and get on the plane. The person doing the pat-down was polite and used the edge of his hand when checking my privates. No grabbing or groping. When I left the US the week before I just did the walk through the metal detector whose line I purposefully got into. The only person they directed to the scanner out of about 40 people was a cute young thing. During the passage through someone shouts out “abandoned backpack”. Sure enough someone did leave a backpack in the area. It had Arabic writing on it. At that point I am expecting airport shutdown and missing my flight. But no. TSA man walks up, mutters something about having to swab the backpack, takes it to a desk and proceeds to open it and pull stuff out. At this point I am standing behind a structural column in the hope any projectiles from the blast will be stopped by it. But nothing happened. Better to be careful a 1000 times than to be killed once as Mark Twain said. Still I could not help but think how idiotic it was to proceed that way and figured it was just more proof that TSA is a conditioning agency with not real ability to stop anyone but forgetfull numbskulls who forget to clean out their bag from the last trip to the shooting range and pass through the TSA portals as an innocent caught in a Strict Liability web.

    Dear Ms. De Coster:

I pray for a lot of things, and one of them is for the airlines to go bankrupt. Sure I want to freely travel, and I’m confident I will fly again before I die (last time was June 2010; no molestation and no porno-scanner at that time). The government believes it can have its cake and eat it too: enslave us, tax the hell out of us, and still expect the economy to function enough for continued parasitical bloodsucking.

We are Freedom to Travel USA, an organization dedicated to regaining freedoms taken away from us by the TSA. We believe that suspicionless unwanted touching should not be a condition of travel. We believe that being subject to the equivalent of Peeping Toms without cause should not be a condition of travel. We believe that exposing ourselves to radiation, however small, should not be a condition of travel. We believe that merely the presence of a medical device, in and of itself, should not constitute “probable cause.” h t t p : / / fttusa . o r g

I travel as Field Service Engineer and fly 2-3 times a week. I avoid Detroit at all cost because of what you just described. My last experience was identical. When I asked why others could go through the Medal Detector I was told that I had just given up all my rights and that I was now a suspect. I replied that we were just paying for the scam brought on by Chertoff and that if we would stop blowing up half the world we would not have to be doing this.

I see… you only post comments that aren’t critical. You call yourself a libertarian? Go ahead, delete this one too.

    I have simply quit flying.

The history of Chertoff and his machines is out there for those who want to know how we got to this point. The whole matter is sick shit.

Karen, I too, had a motherly type security woman pat me down when I left Providence Rhode Island on my way out to Texas for my son’s wedding in June. The woman appeared uncomfortable as well, but she surely didn’t take liberties with me as you describe above. I think she was miffed that I said that I didn’t want the porn scanner, but so what? Tough titty if she didn’t like it..facts are facts. But on my return trip from Dallas I encountered a totally different scene as I just commented on your other piece today. We have far more muslims now involved in TSA, and I think they are feeling pretty powerful that they can do what they want with our bodies..and of course, it was in Texas, the state with the highest number of mosques in the country, over 300 in fact. My son drove me north of Dallas to see the newest hugh monster of a mosque where you could see cameras projecting from the mosque watching outsiders, while the FBI had their cams in the trees pointing at the mosque in a game of “peek a boo, I see you”. Five years ago I was warning we would be having a stealth problem of infiltration on all levels. I was always given a look like I had three eyes..and in those ensuing years things have really revved up with over 3,000 muslim communities across the country. In the midst of this horrendous economic set up we now have men coming here with their four, five wives and kids and plunking them down onto our welfare, social agencies…yep, you get to pay for them! So more and more it looks like they are getting bolder and bolder. Get a job with the TSA and use intimidation against those who are paying your bills. Make claims that your religion does not allow you to be physically frisked and surely not scanned…wow, how much better can you have it…oh yes, i now how…
own most every gas station in the country where someday you could bring all cars to a halt…or be Fetullah Gulen, the imam/scholar who has a growing network of charter schools across the country, well over 150. Some are being closed already for the fact that the education is so watered down and some sexual abuse at these schools is rampant. Strangely enough F Gulen never even finished the 7th grade but his butt sits in the Poconos where he is sheltered from those in Turkey who want his head..and we are paying for all of this, including the turkish profs who are taking math and science jobs from our teachers based here! Many youtubes abound on this Gulen Fraud who is in our midst and doing his stealth part to bring down the country via sharia rule someday..Read how the EPIC has brought two lawsuits against the TSA here at this url below..
    Thankfully the D.C.

Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the TSA violated federal law when it installed body scanners in airports for primary screening across the country without first soliciting public comment. Like Debbie says, TSA stands for Tough Shit America!

Tippie – I won’t change my “language” (ohhh, the word “smartass”; bad word) for anyone to conform to their personal moral code. Sorry.

“Your” TSA come across as a bunch of pervert cowards.

I’d like to see them pat down the great Leslie Nielson. Lacking his skills i’d go for a guinness or 3 the night before travelling and a couple of protein bars about an hour before check in.

Tippie, get off your high horse, if you have never said the work “fuck” you have at least done it at some point in time. words are what you make them, make them obscene, they are. I really doubt you are as pure as the driven snow.

Great insight as to what is going on Karen, keep up the great writing!

Throw the 4th Amendment at them, inform them that since they are operating in violation of the Constitution, you regard them as criminals, and that if they make any attempt to physically assault you, you will defend yourself accordingly, and that you have a right to engage in any lawful commerical business transaction without interference.  And then beat their ass.

To the person who whined about language: Ma’am, if the grotesque violation of human dignity, and the rank oppression of our liberties, being perpetuated by that obscenity the TSA is not enough to evoke passions sufficient to curse … then pray tell us WHAT could arouse genuine ire in you?

As for the TSA: Fuck all you little Eichmanns who draw your substance from, and pin your hopes to, Leviathan!
