I've been involved off and on with Michigan libertarians and have read publications like Reason and Libertarian Review since 1973. I have NEVER encountered a racist or even a homophobe among these folks in that entire time. Never never ever. Lots of Rothbard's Modal Libertarians and folks who perhaps lean too far in the libertine direction (although they would never consider actually infringing on the rights of cultural conservatives to be cultural conservatives). This "racist racist racist" attack is just an infantile primal scream from our opponents again announcing that they have absolutely NOTHING in the way of an intelligent response to our proposals.

I guess those who soon followed the Pilgrims in building this nation, found that local governments of their creation worked best in keeping out of the way of everyone pursuing their own inequalities and aspirations, and prospering, sharing tht prosperity with their families and immediate community, were mistaken. Their belief in their creating government instead of government creating them, was rascist, as seen by the elite few who would rule the many. State's Rights was the one belief that stood out against all others by the libertarian 19th century Democrats following Jefferson and Madison up to Cleveland, as it meant individual freedom, the supremacy of individual interests over community interests as defined by an elite. claysamerica.com
