“Kill the bill, kill the bill, kill the bill, kill the bill!” Here is some great video footage of a town hall in Romulus, Michigan, near Detroit. Watch John Dingell put on his best smirk when he faces questions from a reporter about the rowdy crowd that is overwhelmingly resistant to the government’s totalitarian health care plan. Listen to Dingell tell the reporter, in his arrogant air, “I have worked in Congress for over 50 years….” He says he has done what he thinks is “best” for the American people. Yes you filthy leech – it’s true that you have never worked a real job in 50+ years. And yet you think this is a virtue! You are paid to lie, steal, and centrally plan the lives of free Americans. We don’t want you, Herr Dingell, to “do what is best for us.” You do not know what is best for me, for us, or for any single individual whose life you ruin with your lust to exercise power and control.

What did the arrogant Dingell say about the protest? He stated: “This meeting has been heavily infiltrated by folks who wish to make trouble.” Damn right Dingell, but not in the way you mean it. Get with it Dingell: you and your wealthy, ordained colleagues have pushed on a major tipping point – one that affects our overall well-being and our ability to live out our lives in a healthy, independent, and strong manner. Pushing on tipping points has its consequences. How dare you think otherwise. Let us be optimistic that Amercians have only just begun to fight.

Here’s John Stossel’s column on the problems of rationing in socialized health care systems such as England and Canada.

In America, people wait in emergency rooms, too, but it’s much worse in Canada. If you’re sick enough to be admitted, the average wait is 23 hours.

“We can’t send these patients to other hospitals. Dr. Eric Letovsky told us. “Every other emergency department in the country is just as packed as we are.”

More than a million and a half Canadians say they can’t find a family doctor. Some towns hold lotteries to determine who gets a doctor. In Norwood, Ontario, “20/20″ videotaped a town clerk pulling the names of the lucky winners out of a lottery box. The losers must wait to see a doctor.

See this disturbing video from John Stossel (from 2008) on the dreadful Canadian health care system. He talks about the “illegal” for-profit medical clinics springing up across the country giving people an option to get quality health care. He also interviews David Gratzer, author of The Cure. Gratzer describes himself as a guy who “liked Canada’s government health care until he started treating patients.” Also, note the part where he looks Michael Moore in the eye and makes reference to his obesity.

Meanwhile, Obama continues along his path of ruination, expropriating and socializing every aspect of the American economy that he can get his hands around, and of course he has promised to destroy and socialize our health care system by the end of this year. It’s pathetic that I see Americans cheering this on because “free” health care means they can free up some of their budget for trinkets and junk and dump their health care costs into the collective pot.

Then there’s this story on ABC that asks “Who should pay for obese health care?” How about the easy answer – the obese can pay for their own obesity. Private industry is having to develop cranes and ramps for their ambulances so that they can transport the morbidly obese. A woman from the special interest group Obesity Action Coalition thinks that raising the costs of such medical transportation in porder to pay for the development of the specialized equipment is “discriminatory.” In other words, costs should be flat across the board and subsidized by thin people who require no special transportation needs. Perhaps if she were to fly from Detroit to Chicago, and I were to fly from Detroit to Istanbul, Turkey, we could pool the costs thereby eliminating “discriminatory” pricing and making my flight more affordable.

Another great email from Charles “anarchteacher” Burris on the foundations of socialism. He writes:

I would like to call your attention to a virtually unknown little book, The Lost Literature of Socialism, by George Watson, Fellow in English at St. John’s College, Cambridge and editor of the New Cambridge Bibliography of English Literature.

As the publishers explain on the back of this book: “In this hard-hitting and controversial new book, the author examines the foundation texts of socialism to find out what they really say… and the result is blasphemy against its canon of saints. This study, the first review of socialist literature since 1945, reveals how closely socialism was linked to conservative, racist, and genocidal ideas. As a literary critic the author’s concern is to pay a due respect to the works of the founding fathers of socialism, to attend to what they say rather than to what their modern disciples wish they had said. The book forces the reader to abandon long-standing assumptions in political thought, enabling a genuine debate to be revived.”

In this brilliant work examining the foundation texts of socialism, Watson provides a powerful indictment of their reactionary, racist and genocidal ideas. There is a direct line from Marx and Engels to Hitler and the Holocaust; to Lenin and Stalin and the liquidation of the Kulaks and the extermination of the Ukrainians; to Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald and Auschwitz, and to Kolima, Vorkuta and Karaganda.

What distinguishes “socialism,” the political/economic ideology, and its ideological twin, “sociology,” the social science, are their common inheritance and origins from backward, reactionary ideas (anti-individualism, collectivism, anti-capitalism) and thinkers (Hegel, Comte, Bonald, de Maistre, Southey, Saint-Simon). Scholars such the sociologist Leon Branson, The Political Context of Sociology, and Nobel Laureate F. A. Hayek, The Counter-Revolution of Science, have thoroughly traced and documented this non-liberal lineage. These horrific ideas were explicitly formulated and conceived against those of classical liberalism, individualism, and free market (laissez-faire) capitalism. But today, according to established authorities in academia and the media, they are the height of “progressive” thought.
