Fred Solop, a Northern Arizona University political scientist, said the incidents in New Hampshire and Arizona could signal the beginning of a disturbing trend.

“When you start to bring guns to political rallies, it does layer on another level of concern and significance,” Solop said. “It actually becomes quite scary for many people. It creates a chilling effect in the ability of our society to carry on honest communication.”

He said he’s never heard of someone bringing an assault weapon near a presidential event. “The larger the gun, the more menacing the situation,” he said.

Policies by force, or by majority tyranny, which are created, accelerated, and funded by wealthy special interests and mega-corporations with monetary interest in the policies, are called “honest communication.” If you think that the majority of the population understands the nature of government and its powers, think again. And this came from a political science academic that teaches your kids.

These people still can’t get to understanding one very simple point: we don’t want to “debate” tyranny and the level of control they shall have over us. We aren’t interested in “debates.” By ”debate,” what the media and government propagandists really mean is that we should stand up and speak a few kind words against socialized tyranny, then we all sit down and be quiet, having said our piece, and let the show go on interrupted. Debate means we get to ask softball questions, but in the end we refrain from intervening in the actual process of moving forward the government’s agenda.

St. Louis County police arrested six people after the forum in Mehlville, including a Post-Dispatch reporter.

The back-and-forth between factions in the crowd created a contentious atmosphere inside and outside the forum. The event attracted several hundred people. They included members of the movement opposing President Barack Obama’s policies and groups who came to show support for the president’s proposals.

U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan called for a “calmer, more civil” or “spirited” debate on socialized health care. That means he wants his subjects to step up and lob softballs so that he can feed them the standard reply, and then they should quietly go away being satisfied with his bullshit response. These people are so arrogant that they are shocked, shocked! to get this level of resistance. As I said in this blog post, these self-aggrandizing powermongers cannot handle this level of resistance. They did not have a strategy for handling the response that has evolved from their health care scam.

On another note (from the story), here’s what’s wrong with much of the tea bagging that’s going on (Tea Bagging Lite).

Dana Loesch, a blogger, radio talk show host and St. Louis Tea Party activist who was at the Mehlville event, said, “Last night, it was a whole different scene. That’s not what this should be about.”
 
Loesch said Tea Party supporters generally haven’t caused any problems. They’re loud, they’re frustrated, but if Congress would allow for more debate on health care, people could have their questions answered, she said.

Mr. Loesch, with all due respect, people don’t want “more debate,” and there is much more to this than getting your “questions answered.” Figure it out already. This is not about putting up a show to be noticed by your rulers. This is not about organizing peaceful complaints about The System. People do not want this crazed, inhuman, devastating socialized health care rammed down their throats. They don’t want it, period. They don’t want their personal health put into the melting pot for others to control, deny, and approve. Anything less than full-on resistance means that this country, as a whole, will have taken one more step toward the annihilation of individual liberty. Forget debate, forget writing your congressman, forget asking questions, forget standing around and just “peacefully” holding signs. This program will destroy every American’s future while it will enrich powerful special interests, and of course, none of the lawmakers who want to destroy our ability to live healthy and free will be subject to the very plans they have designed for us. People do not want this and the only way to stop it is to keep saying no and reinforce that with actions. The actions are such that you don’t let them do it to you.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi moves in a rarefied world of high society and high-level politics — and nothing underscores that fact quite like her plans for the August recess.

Pelosi will spend next weekend quietly tending to top party donors and political allies at a series of private events in Northern California.

The two-day “issues conference” starts next Friday night with a dinner for roughly 170 guests on the back lawn of Pelosi’s multimillion-dollar home in the fashionable Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Francisco.

The following day, Pelosi will shepherd her guests to a Napa Valley winery with buildings designed by world-famous architect Frank Gehry; the speaker and her husband, investor Paul Pelosi, own a nearby vineyard worth between $5 million and $25 million, according to her annual financial disclosure report.

…To be invited, one must have raised money for the DCCC, been a longtime friend of Pelosi’s or contributed $30,4000 to the DCCC this cycle. The maximum an individual may give to a national party committee in any one year.

A donation to the DCCC of that size qualifies a donor to be part of the “Speaker’s Cabinet,” a fundraising program that gives supporters expanded access to Pelosi.

Nancy Pelosi, a multi-millionaire, is destroying your life and freedom through her control of the governing body that lords it over all of us. Powerful and wealthy people are not buying access to this wrinkled, old hag because they like her or the Democrats. They do so because they get special favors and access to the redistribution booty at the expense of you, the middle-class wage earner or entrepreneur. Politics is coercion, and still, no matter how much people learn about the establishment and its reason for existence, they sanction it. They sanction it each time they concede to the government’s arbitrary decrees and go along with its mandates. And especially, the masses consent to total control and tyranny each time they vote for any one of these swines.

When the economy tanks and inflation runs rampant, forcing Mom and Pop into food lines and unemployment lines, begging for tidbits, Mrs. Pelosi will be comfortably ensconced behind the walls of her California mansion, complete with servants, crystal, and fine wine. When Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class are lying in an overcrowded, musty, appalling medical clinic somewhere, being ignored for days under a socialized health care plan, Mrs. Pelosi will have private and immediate access to the best doctors and best hospitals in the world. 

These monsters, who have been given extraordinary powers to rule over you, have become so used to ramping up their powers and stomping their legislative jack boots down on your head, that they are not the slightest bit tolerant of resistance. They loathe your disobedience, your verbal challenges, your hostility to their supremacy. 

In a prior blog post (“Town Halls Gone Wild“), I pointed out that some town halls had gotten so out of hand that frightened politicians were escorted out by police protective squads. Now, Nancy Pelosi, the repulsive, arrogant bitch that she is, has likened the middle class resistance to her socialist-fascist agenda as an “astroturf” movement. Ha Ha. She didn’t like the very appropriate swastikas stuck in her face as she tries to ram her perverted health care plan down our collective throats. In fact, the Dems are certain that there is no real resistance at all. They believe it’s just a big setup, with the Republican Party hiring stand-ins to show up and to protest. The term used to describe the resistance is “manufactured outrage.”

Meanwhile, the overlords who rule our lives tell us – and want to force us – to drive little (“fuel-efficient”) crap cars, use filthy mass transportation, turn down our thermostats, and turn off our lights, while they thrust their arrogance in our faces by ordering up $200 million worth of Gulfstream jets to cart their pompous asses all over the world to lofty gatherings, spending our money so they can trip the lights fantastic with powerful and wealthy special interests, grabbing more and more power, while making us all  poorer.

Let’s give these hubristic rapscallions the one thing that they detest most – resistance. And plenty of it.

Just hand over the dough, and nobody gets hurt. This gambit was promoted by American Traffic Solutions, one of the private “scamera” contractors, on the notion that it might improve the program’s odds of political survival. The voters might not kick up a fuss if one check made the problem go away forever.

I must admit that I am overjoyed each time I hear of some citizen taking a vicious tool to one of these intrusive, unconstitutional devices and leaving it in a state where it is mechanically challenged. That’s the type of passion that will be needed when it’s time to dust off one’s inner rebel and take a major stand.

In Bishop’s case, his decision came on the heels of a June 22 event he held in Setauket, N.Y., in which protesters dominated the meeting by shouting criticisms at the congressman for his positions on energy policy, health care and the bailout of the auto industry.

Within an hour of the disruption, police were called in to escort the 59-year-old Democrat — who has held more than 100 town hall meetings since he was elected in 2002 — to his car safely.
