The Portuguese hosts of Friday’s NATO summit hoped to use the event to promote clean-energy and electric cars, but all eyes were on US President Barack Obama’s diesel-guzzling “Beast” instead.

As is usual when he travels, Obama’s eight-tonne armoured behemoth of a limousine was flown out to Lisbon before the US leader’s arrival, and it ferried him from the airport tarmac to his first meetings of the weekend.

Doubtless he didn’t intend the Beast’s roar to drown out his hosts’ green message, but a US presidential motorcade and its attendant escort of Secret Service SUVs do attract attention, even at the most elite gatherings.

All the White House ever has to say about these events is that the president’s security arrangements are “non-negotiable.” Our lives, of course, are not only negotiable, but we are like little Lego sets for the central planners who sit on the floor cross-legged and follow the enclosed instructions to piece us all together in ways convenient for the class of almighty rulers. And how many Obama worshippers actually believe this? No modern White House – not that of Bush, Clinton, Bush, Sr., Reagan or otherwise – has been so controlled by special interests, whether they are a part of the government itself, or quasi-governmental beneficiaries with the power to direct and/or buy legislation. Accordingly, this is a priceless one minute and thirty-eight seconds on CNN. The Media bobbleheads are going sour on Obamaism, and the president’s biggest supporters are turning on their erstwhile hero of change. It’s a beautiful thing.

I suggest you read Sec 202 (Building Retrofit Program) and Sec. 204 (Building Energy Performance Labeling Program), especially concerning residential housing, if you want to know how this thing will make your life a living hell. And if you are a commercial landlord, double whammy.

Remember Obama’s chatter about skyrocketing energy costs under his Cap & Trade. In this video, once again, he must be without his teleprompter. He bumbles and stumbles his way through this, can’t get out the appropriate words, and has no intelligent commentary to offer whatsoever. Outside of his totalitarian rule, I’ve come to the conclusion that he is The Stupid President. The biggest boob of the modern presidential era. He is a Saturday Night Live skit. And this boob is taking his one shot – 4 years – and unleashing his process of ruination upon us all.

In dangerous, clangorous times, the idea of America rings like a bell (see King, M. L., Jr., and Dylan, Bob). It hits a high note and sustains it without wearing on your nerves. (If only we all could.) This was the melody line of the Marshall Plan and it’s resonating again. Why? Because the world sees that America might just hold the keys to solving the three greatest threats we face on this planet: extreme poverty, extreme ideology and extreme climate change. The world senses that America, with renewed global support, might be better placed to defeat this axis of extremism with a new model of foreign policy.

He goes off an a delusional ramble about Obama being the great peace president because he has assembled a “dream team” that will revolutionize our lives and rebrand our nation.

With expected passage by the Senate, federal prosecutors will for the first time be able to intervene in cases of violence perpetrated against gays.

No, it’s not “stunning” to most of us who understand that regime change among party lines offers no “change” whatsoever. The “change” hype was nothing more than juvenile propaganda for dumbed-down idiots. Even staunch Obama supporter Maddow claims she was stunned that Messiah Obama called for the power to indefinitely imprison people because they may commit crimes sometime in the future.

Obama, in his speech, calls for “clear, defensible, and lawful standards” for those who “fall in the category” of preventative detention. He said prolonged detention must be “thoroughly evaluated and justified.” He calls this a “legitimate, legal framework” for imprisonment. Maddow notes that Obama is constructing an illegal system outside of the system in which to make indefinite detention legal. Rachel, this is once where you’ve done right this year. Keep it up.

Obama’s speech was conducted, according to Maddow, inside the National Archives, in front of the original U.S. Constitution. Yes, there’s a purposeful and perverted message in that.

The pharmaceutical industry pledge includes $30 billion “that could be used” to provide discounts for medicines, said Reid H. Cherlin, a White House spokesman. That will help narrow a gap in Medicare drug coverage known as the doughnut hole. The allowances will encourage patients to remain on expensive brand- name medicines even when cheaper generic copies are available, Tim Anderson, an analyst with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. in New York, said in a note to clients yesterday.

“Filling the doughnut hole should help seniors stay on their branded therapies and lessen the tendency for seniors to switch from brands to generics once they hit the donut hole,” Anderson said. “This is critical because once patients convert to generics, they seldom revert back to the brand and are essentially lost to cheaper generics forever.”

This entire deal is nothing more than corporate state-special interest politicking on the part of Big Pharma, Big Government, and enriched special interests, with all players openly admitting their very specific goals. As the article clearly states, Big Pharma is willing to cut slightly into its profit margins in exchange for turning people – especially the elderly – into lifetime customers. Perpetual drug zombies buying their patent-protected, overpriced drugs. Another part of the deal is that government has promised it will “inoculate” Big Pharma from proposed regulations that would cost it some more dough.

And yet, this scam is being sold by Obama & Friends as beneficial to the American middle class. It’s nothing more than another corporate state crime of rob-and-redistribution. Wealth will be redistributed from the wage-earning middle class to the welfare state poor and the corporate state rich, all in plain view and plain language, for all to bear witness.
