Swine Flu Hysteria Doesn’t Disappoint
Saturday, July 25, 2009The hysteria keeps rolling out.
In a disturbing new projection, health officials say up to 40 percent of Americans could get swine flu this year and next and several hundred thousand could die without a successful vaccine campaign and other measures.
Of course, no facts are provided about this “projection.” Every major media outlet is running this story without a link to the Associated Press interview referenced in the story. The Wall Street Journal just ran a story yesterday that notes:
In the U.S., a federal advisory panel said the FDA should move ahead to approve or license the new H1N1 vaccine without waiting to receive data from clinical trials to test its safety and efficacy. The government and vaccine makers plan to start human studies of the H1N1 vaccine in the U.S. in the coming weeks, but the first-look data from those studies won’t be given to the FDA until September.
The reasoning behind this is predictable.
“I think this is an entirely appropriate way of proceeding and in the public health’s best interest considering that schools will be opening in a month,” said John Modlin, the panel chair and a professor of pediatrics at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Unfortunately I was in the emergency room yesterday with a very high fever (105.2) due an infection and dehydration. I was a bit delirious too. I was asked if I had all of my ‘immunizations’. Suspicious(which is normal anymore) I inquired as to what type of immunizations expecting a reply like smallpox, polio, etc. etc. The only response was ‘the flu shot’!!!!! I responded, “No! And you are NOT going to give me one of those damn things.”
Even without the obvious government push, just why would I take a vaccine that makes some people catch the flu. Such as I did the only time I took a flu vaccination years and years ago.
And now they want to make it mandatory.

I wonder how active pharmaceutical companies that manufacture vaccines are in the propaganda over the swine-flu? Getting a huge govenrment contract that guaranteed X-amount of profit to innoculate a bazillion people would be profitable, and an ample opportunity for the govenrment to get away with some other sundry mischiefs during that dirty little process.
Perhaps Ive grown overly cyncial.

Has anyone checked the numbers on swine flu? I found an MSNBC story from May that said the total number of deaths from it in the US are…ten. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30865696/ My guess is the people that died were probably either old (with weak immune systems) or young (as described in the story) with hyper-active immune systems. Both demographics are always hit hard when any strain of flu hits. So why the hysteria over ten deaths?
