Specter, You Shit

From the Wall Street Journal:

Rep. Joe Sestak defeated five-term incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania’s Democratic primary election Tuesday. Mr. Specter is the third incumbent in as many weeks to lose his re-election bid in an intra-party contest.

You wrinkled, old piece of totalitarian shit – good riddance.

    Perfect Karen, good riddance indeed!

    Swell!!

All we are doing is an anger-based ping-ponging between the “Bad & the Ugly” (that’s a Clint Eastwood movie – BTW).

    It is anger speaking.

I am not yet SURE that it is CHANGE speaking (there’s a difference).

And who is this dude? Did he do a zebra thing (as Ron Paul keeps expounding) and suddenly morph into a fiscal conservatist (after all, Libertarians are not a political party for the simple reason that: THEY CAN’T! – just like existentialists -OR- transcendendalists!)

Oh dear, look at the time; and I am still waiting for the Prag Cap to give me some leads on how our (wait gotta look this up): “non-convertible (to a commodity) floating exchange rate system works” now that we have left it since Nixon back in 1971. Beginning to believe that some of our models of economic behavior require some adjustment in the face of the NEW reality!?!?!

Better to get w/ the new REALITY unless you can retire independently of that – which very few of us can…

A piece of shit indeed, and a good flushing.

OTOH, one can argue with equal strength that the even bigger pieces of shit are the hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvania voters who dutifully punched their ballots for him every six years. Without their mindless enabling that keep him in office, he would have been just another senile, fifteenth-rate shyster lawyer practicing personal injury law in some shithole town in the Poconos or the Philly suburbs.

Iluvatar, I think you make a good point (if I understand your post correctly). There are no “good” alternatives to “Turd” Specter on the horizon. Indeed, I’m hard-pressed to think of a long-term positive outcome from yesterdays elections*. Yes, several “pieces of shit” like Arlen Specter were “shown the door” by voters in several states. But it’s difficult to believe, given the history of “voter insurrections” (to borrow a Gary North term) in recent decades that any of them will be replaced by anything other than “new, fresh pieces of shit” that will renege on their campaign offices within five minutes of sitting their tax-fed asses down in their predecessors’ chairs. (And as for Rand Paul’s “victory” in Kentucky, you’ve already pointed out, Karen, what we can probably expect from him once he’s elected, and it ain’t a commitment to liberty.)

(*Here in the Grand Canyon State, the electorate was its usual brainless self, voting, by a supposed 64% margin, to enact the abominable job and economic growth-destroying Proposition 100, which raised sales taxes “temporarily” [!!!] by one penny to cover a multi-billion-dollar budget shortfall. This in a state being annihilated by the aftermath of the housing bubble and the loss of what little industry it ever had to Third World nations with skilled, educated substance-free workforces.)

This’ll leave him free to do the appropriate vetting of Elena Kagan at her SCOTUS confirmation hearing, without worrying about getting re-elected. Or so I hope.

    After that….C-Ya, and wouldn’t wanna be-ya!

It’s great to get rid of as many of these people as we can. Alas, however, we will be providing them with a comfortable income and top notch health care for the rest of their sorry excuses for lives.

@ Liber: answers to your Q’s:

I am just going to plead to that great (musical) group called The Who who put it much more succinctly than I ever could: “Here comes the new boss. Same as the old boss…. I WON’T get fooled ag’in!!”

    Ping-pong anger gets you nowhere…

So yes, a brand new piece of stinkin’ turd is what we got here, who yells change (but fails to recognize that he can’t spell that 6-letter word – whoop-de-f*)

As to the Ron Paul reference, he made a statement that – Hey don’t worry! Once the politicians get the message of the people they just change their stripes!

And, you know there is no one on this god’s earth that can change their stripes faster than a politician. (It’s why I hate those non-genuine a**-holes – they smell like a lawyer – a total ethical relativist. Would make Jesus & Kant absolutely hurl. -sorry Judge Napolitano, but mebbe you’re a rare exception to the rule – you too Ron, no offense here hoss, kay?)

And as to AZ’s issues; I e-mailed the Big KdC and said that the problems in AZ were not immigration issues, they were issues of DEFENSE (which is Big Gov’s job). Checked it out personally, it is strewn across Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution (check into the language wherein it talks about terrorism – got a huge chuckle there).

Trust me on this one, as the Chief Executive, I’d have the AZ border closed in less than 24 HRS.

Sure, you can still immigrate here (in an orderly fashion – like on things called “roads”). But you cross my border in any other fashion and your ass is in a “no walk” zone.

Deploy JSTARS for GMTI/GMTT + O/H satellite and C4ISR for deployment of Helos and A-10′s. You white slavery gangs want to show teeth to my anger? I will light yo’ punk ass up!

Been enough loss of property and lives down there.

Big Gov? Do your frickin’ JOB, kay? (Sorry, really, really pissed by what’s going on down there want to see the problem solved.)

I can hear the Hannity’s of the world rejoicing about a republican revolution. Well, I am looking forward to seeing ALL incumbents squirming in their cushy legislative seats fearing that someone new may be sitting in it next year! Republicans or Democrats – I love to watch them sweat it out (…McCain, and others including my district’s very own “Nancy-boy” Patrick Murphy).

I wonder what people like him see in the mirror in the mornings.

Just 1 item & I promise (really, really to leave!).

    1) This “Sleazestak” (Sestak) in PA is not someone I would hang my hat upon as all the “zebras” start changing their colors – somewhere -or another- it has to come down to fundamentals. Until we actually HAVE that – we get zebras.

    Go F* yourselves!

    Peace, man…

And Oh, btw, I wasn’t joking about what is going down in AZ. That state needs to be returned to normality ASAP – they got enough sh*t going down there already!

CLOSE that G-D’d border – it is now a “NO walk” zone. And we have the force to prove it. Just do a strategic move and re-deploy our forces in Iraq & Pakistan and do it here.

    That’s called “bristling” man!

But WE DO protect our borders! Article I, section 8 of the US Constitution.

And here is what is really funny! This section of the Big C IS the SPECIFICALLY ENUMERATED powers of the US Gov! (hahahahahahahahahahahaha!)

    Enjoy…

What is truly laughable is that the AZ immigration law is actually much weaker than the Federal Law. Federal Law needs no reason at all to stop you, nor does it have to worry about race issues, so when Obama met with MX Calderone a couple days ago, he showed his ignorance of the law by chiding Arizona. He is totally ignorant of both Federal law and AZ policies and in fact, has never even read the AZ position and yet, he kissed butt bigtime with Calderone with his usual, “mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima stupidtothemaximum”. What a ditty bopping dunderhead. He faked a claim to us that he was a Constitutional Law professor which was major BS..he had lectured but was not grounded as a Professor of C law. Little by little these jerks reveal that they have no damn business being where they are, but for the even greater stupidity of the morons who voted them in. Iluv..on the same page with you here….”Just do a strategic move and re-deploy our forces in Iraq & Pakistan and do it here.” Man, truer words were never spoken…our protection is so thin here, I feel less threat from the latinos and fear more that the Muslims feel they can do their stealth thing without repurcussions…just take the latest with their plans to build one mother freaking mosque where the twin towers existed..another slap in the face at the very least to those who died that horrendous day.

    http://www.buffalonews.com/2010/05/06/1042597/mosque-going-up-in-nyc-building.html
…and what does Spector have to do with this….nothing other than the aforesaid is, as well, an ancient piece of totalitarian sheista wanting sharia law here. For all the libertarians decrying any laws whatsoever, the day could come when you’d love to have those old american laws back compared to sharia law..sheer trip to totalitarian crap.
