But of course. How else could a Repugnican ever be elected governor of Massachusetts?

Progressive-leftists fail to acknowledge that Massachusetts is a state, and therefore, its plan passes Constitutional muster under the 9th and 10th Amendments. The federal government has *NO* Constitutional power to enact socialized medicine. Sorry Representative Conyors, the “good and plenty” clause doesn’t exist. The General Welfare Clause doesn’t give the federal government plenary power over the states or its inhabitants.

Furthermore, the Massachusetts system is effectively bankrupt. There were media reports of wide spread fraud and manipulation, like we didn’t see that coming. People aren’t spending (sales tax revenue), there are more property tax abatements (property tax revenue), and salaries are stagnating (income tax revenue). Taken as a whole, Massachusetts’ experiment, albeit Constitutional, is financially insolvent. The day of reckoning can’t be too far away.

The same thing will happen to the federal incarnation — insolvency is eminent. Except the disaster will be felt father and wider.

BTW, Senator Scott Brown, was one of the central architects behind RomneyCare.

My friend liberranter, because Mitt is the real leader so all American people included republican, democrats, independent, and other voted for him for Ma’s gov and the American people will vote for him to be the president of U.S.A in 2012,no doubt, because he is an uniter. The one attacked him just only some of the liberal, democrats, and other that just think about themselves, himself, herself, yourself, myself, they don’t think about the country, the nation and all American people. just think about it, who had better resume than Mitt, who had better record than Mitt, who had most experienced than Mitt, and who had leadership character and style more than Mitt? the answer is no one,why you guy are too scare, afraid and hate Mitt so much, but what ever you hate or love him,he will come to save America for America,American people will never let America down, now America were woke-up, they will united and rally with Mitt,go to Washington, and take back white house in November,2012.

“True republican”, you couldn’t have chosen a better alias for your post. A stream of disjointed nonsense pockmarked by spelling and punctuation errors that even a grammar school pupil would know how to avoid is the perfect metaphor for that pathetic excuse of a party and its equally pathetic “poster boy” of which you are so obviously proud.

If you want to be taken seriously, I would recommend that you try rewriting your gibberish in coherent English. Being a Republican, however, “coherence” probably isn’t your long suit.

Oh BTW the last message got wiped.

I don’t even know this guy & I don’t care. Does that define stoopid or something ELSE? (ummm… like being purposefully uninformed??)

Maybe someone who would choose to be un-informed b/c he is simply focusing all his time and energy on preparing for the HILLS?

I can tell you this; I am fatiguing from the B-S. I simply don’t have the energy to go the distance on this crap – I would do better hucking a lung after a 6-miler…

    @ liberranter:

OK he wins. He “definAtely” types worse than I do (wearing a very big grin)…

But I think I still get the record (& award too by jove!) for poor punctuation and “seplling”.

I hear Mitt is going for the Pres – yes? Is that true?

So my question remains unchanged: where are Ron P, Di Lorenzo, Woods, et alii (only b/c we are talking about men here; o/w it would be et alia)?

How are WE focusing our energies into a productive conduit of change now that Omaba-mama has opened the door?

You know? Obama may actually prove himself right – in a somewhat perverted way?

He may actually have been the vehicle of change only by knowing the absolute horror that he represents and by what he hs done.

Cousin lucky would have an answer here: wait a sec………… oh here it comes – You Betcha!

PS Dang Karen! You sure do get up early! What — you sleep 3-4 hours a night or what?? I’m not getting until noon at this point. But man, ALL the laundry is done!

    @ True Republican:

Please don’t let Liber get you down. But by the same token, isn’t it tiresome to keep ping-ponging back and forth between parties that can only distinguish themselves by how their party is spelled? These guys live on a linear line (2 points in space defines a line – they live right smack on it). And there is not much spacing between the 2 parties on that line.

What this place/blog is about (and Lew Rockwell’s as well; and I think Liber’s as well) is being at least, 3 dimensional. About living orthogonal to that “stinking” line.

About a branch of thought where, through absolute frustration, EVEN the common citizen gets tired of unemployment and goverment largesse and – now – insolvency. Sure we hate that stuff too; but what concerns us most is a Federal government that is in a power grab. And now, it is the absolute Mother of all power grabs of all time – they are going for it all.

If you haven’t realized it yet, then you should know; we ARE in a tyranny!

And what right-thinking Citizen would NOT object to that?

As an aside, I find the current popular blogmanship style a bit arthritic. This style of run-on speech and non-coherency. Think I am going to revolt to that too…

I would like to still respect our language for a little while longer. Even though I can’t type it!!

@ Karen: OFF TOPIC (my apologies): Hey did you notice a weird metabolic surge when you started taking the AL acid? Kind of wondering – man; it’s like I am on fire or something. What is up w/ that? Do you have a post or something that I can review (I am being “smarmy” here; I would just as soon look over your shoulder if you have already done the homework…).

Also do you have a post on Flax seed oil? I wanted to take an Omega 3 that wasn’t fish oil (mercury concerns + I rotate tuna into my daily salads on weeks when it isn’t olives or garbanzo beans – it’s my “treat”).

Thanks for your help (and tutelage).

@ ALL: In an absolute fit of bravery/insanity, I broke down and e-mailed Lew Rockwell today. I asked him what they were doing to get penetration of Libertarian thought into the upcoming elections + 2012.

Also proposed that along with amending the Commerce clause, the dangling “general welfare” clause, we GO FOR IT and amend the big C by eliminating the Judicial Branch of the Fed Gov.

Let the states determine the constitutionality of any law passed by Congress. Would only take 10 states to object.

Think that is a choke-chain w/ some teeth? But it would formalize Jefferson’s and Madison’s nullification papers too!

(I hope I don’t get killed – I am such a wuss) He’s probably not going to answer anyway? Why worry? Whew!~

Yep; Judge Napolitano’s book had an impact on me… (probably mis-spelled his name too!)

And oh, I forgot, RP’s ending of the Fed and as well, Murray Rothbard’s ending of the FRBS!

You’re not going to use that to magicly amplify the money stock anymore you Gringos!

(Still really ticked off at that new immigration law that that dual of a Pelosi figure (what’s her name again? she is the Gov of AZ) passed last Friday). Hey man, I don’t have to show you no stinkin’ badges!

    @ True republican:

A small amplification on your ending thesis/line?

I don’t want to take back the White House – that pucilanimous piece of white chocalate cake can take its self back.

I want my god-damned COUNTRY back.

And, oh btw? I am no tea party sweetheart either.

I am just a simple man. The group Bad Company did this song on their 3-4th album. That’s all I am. Pretty frickin’ simple…

Looks like Arizona is kicking ass lately…both with the irritating immigration front this week, as well as with telling the anointed one where he can put HIS healthcare bill. While twenty-six states have proposed amendments to their state constitutions to ban individual mandated healthcare insurance, “Arizona’s measure orders that “no law or rule shall compel any person or employer to participate in any health care system.” Already it’s passed both houses of the Arizona legislature, but cannot become law until citizens approve it. It will be on the ballot in the November 2010 elections.” Can’t wait to see what happens if Obama’s wetdream of allowing illegals comes to fruition, and what happens to AZ healthcare then…be a good mini series!

More on being a simple man:

    Some light-hearted spiritedness:

OK, here it is: Bad Company’s live rendition of Simple Man w/ special guest from his band “Grin” Nils Lofgren (I only own his single albums; who hails from Silver Spring MD of all places! playing acoustic on this one). This is a really OLD (and good looking!) Paul Rogers (who went to Queen???; remember?? He used to play in the band called Free w/ Paul Kossof before he OD’d):

“Freedom is the only thing that means a DAMN to me; oh! I am a Simple Man”

Studio/Earlier edition: could not find; however I found my FAV song by this band here:

    and possibly here:

“Nobody asks where you are going; nobody asks where you’re from. And you fly all around, `til somebody shoots you down”

I am boasting here (truly; no humility whatsoever), but I can actually sing these (LOL; LOL; LOL!)

And while I love these songs; this is not the genre of music that I listen to (hint: Yes/ELP/King Crimson, etc.) But I still love these songs – they tear at your heart.

As a work colleague recently said, so I am stealing his words outright. Are you wondering if it has been a SLO day or what? Yup! Thanks so much for asking!?!?!

Will prob’ly be off the air for a while. At least I got the durn charts in for the presentation…………..

OK; looks like the typos are cleared (big sigh)

I apologize to one and all for the “saturation” bombing I just did (if Karen even let’s all this crap thru). It’s over. I agree to take a 7-day break OK?

I still need to find out if I am going to get arrested from that recent e-mail to Lew Rockwell.

    Aw man; geeze louize!

    @ Karen:

You probably can’t even see it now after this bomb strike! But I did ask you some important health questions about 20 posts up?

When you get a moment could you point me to the existing info you have on this stuff (AL acid & Flax seed oil). Really appreciate your expertise – thanks so much.

I promise not to do this again to your site — really! Promise, promise, promise!@!!

    I want what Iluvatar’s smoking.

  19. Iluvatar says:

@ Michael: That would be alpha lipoic acid. A fat pill – a saturated fat that is supposed to target nerve sheath health since I am trying to NOT use our wonderful health system to cure a herniated disk. All natural/NO frickin’ surgery WHATSOEVER. The P/T guys have been wonderful and I am regaining motor function below the left knee (I jogged on the track for the 1st time in ~8 months – kick A!!!).

But to be honest; this acid is kicking my metabolic rate all over the charts. I am sleeping about 3 hours less per day and it is like I was on the drugs I took back in the 70′s (which thankfully I shall never return unless it is partying with Don Casteneda’s Indians out west – OK: I’ll go there!!! (wink!))

Hey; I just did a read up on Timothy O’Leary. That was NOT LSD that they did their initial experiments with; it was Psilocybin (OK there is NO way in the world that I would have successfully spelled that right on the 1st time so I Wiki’d it instead).

And Oh, DUH!!! I just gave up smoking store-bought cigarettes. I bought a machine (it does not “roll” it for for you, it “stuffs” it for you). It is ALL natural tobacco and has NONE of the FDA Nazis chemicals in it (and from some studies – they may be the real addiction culprit). And the paper tubes I get are NOT fire safety coated (FSC).

Hey, look, I am not going to defend myself here; smoking is an unhealthy and B***SH*T thing to do to yourself. I am only taking a step here. A small step. But, also, I can’t remember reading about the last Indian in Virginia who died from lung cancer. Yeah, I know, the records weren’t in place back then.

But also, guess what? It is ALSO a REVOLT against the State of Taxinus Maximus! A carton of store-bought cigarettes in this GREAT state of Maryland costs $63-80/carton!!

“Rolling my own” now costs me about $8-10/carton. You should have seen me closing out April’s budget. Fricking Phi Slamma Jamma!

It ain’t healthy, but at least I am dodging the excise tax Nazis (for now; until I escape to GA!!!). And, oh yeah, the excess is being used to buy GOLD – to steal a phrase from the Mogambo Guru from Rockwell’s: “this investing stuff is EASY!!! Wheeee!!”. Done.
