Primal Pig Roast

Here are some photos from a primal pig roast at Melo Farms yesterday. The pork was fresh off the pasture, a mulefoot-Berkshire cross. The fat, as you will see in the photos, is a primal dream.

Maggie hid 'neath the porch because the children would not leave the poor puppy alone.

Bloody Mary drinks with bacon and, yes ... bacon vodka.

Bacon jelly? Yes!

Check out the fat content.

More meat.

Real (non-industrial) ribs.

Cutie.

Pigness of the pigs.

The girls are posin'.

This is what pigs like to do.

Three little piggies not yet ready for the market.

Thirsty?

Smile!

There's a pig in there somewhere.
