@ JQ:

No we're good.

Was training for Ultimate last summer and jacked my back doing deep squats on free weights (which you ARE NOT supposed to do - do it on a machine instead! Doh!).

Just got kicked out of Physical Therapy, and am now on my own.

Hit the track about 3-4 weeks ago and DUDE: I not only jogged but actually opened the gait and cranked some sprint 100's! Really solid power from the left calf and great bouce strength of the left ball of the foot! Was amazed.

Those P/T folks were so helpful, but I really needed to leave; the patients they see are in REAL pain - it disgusted me to see what some of these folks are recovering from - really bad.

I think I left more out of guilt than real need.

I told the doc; hey, I really shouldn't be here - these people need your help much more than me.

Now, I am finishing it up on my own - should be done in a year or so.

But hey! No surgery! Cool!

And the Alpha Lipoic Acid that I take? I have now recovered my sleep cycle now that I am down to 600mg/day (it is used to restore nerve function - except when you tak 2400 mg/day and it literally blows UP your metabolism and your sleep cycle - the guys at work are still laughing at me...)

$10? Karen is probably having a REALLY major HOOT too (you are are a sadist!); she probably has not stopped laughing EITHER (I'd get you back if I could....).

Illuvatar, I think that the best thing we can do in the future is to get off the grid and stay under the radar. Good for you for doing that for fifteen years. Except for a bout of Lyme's disease (caused BTW by the govt and that damned Lab 257 at Plum Island an hour south of me/Long Island), I almost wish that I hadn't gone even for annual checkups...they are a waste if you are taking care of yourself. Have made up my mind that I will never have another mammogram. Not going to allow xrays to destroy those beauties if I can help it. Too much evidence coming out how they can actually cause cancer. I have an idea for those machines... use them on the Congressmen and the con man...they want public healthcare? Okay, let's make their pubic public....and show what little balls it took to pass that monstrous healthcare bill. No Iluvator, I don't think you can get arrested for staying away from the doctor, but perhaps you could be chided if you refuse to either pay fines or buy substandard insurance for gov't approved healthcare. Either way, the whole thing makes me sick. Hope your problem isn't serious Iluvator.

One "test" that certainly isn't needed is one that would determine predisposition toward congenital stupidity, although anyone who would make life-changing medical decisions based on a single OTC test alone is obviously afflicted with that condition.

@ JQ:

I am going to be in so much trouble once the health care settles in.

Except for the recent MRI (and that went very poorly - previous post), I haven't seen a doctor in the past 15 years. and don't intend to.

Does that mean I get arrested, or something?

When folks learn about what is in the healthcare bill, I predict a whole lot of them will get really sick to learn of the poison awaiting them. From higher taxes, to longer waits at the doctor, and a push for the latest vaccine to be had. Think you are going to refuse it?...think twice, for there will be a domestic military aiding the healthcare enforcement scheme. Actually when you think about, if you mix the drug manufacturers with govt and military and the IRS, this is bound to make lots of folks pretty damn sick...pills anyone? A magic pill would be nice so that we can make this entire nightmare go away for good.

Okay, this goes beyond disgusting. Are we now a species of walking diseases? The saddest part is that people will buy into it.Next they'll line up for all the "preventive" drugs against those scanned "propensities."
