Pathetic, Scared Americans and the Rebirth of the “War on Terror”

Mike Adams, in a recent column, had with some funny comments on the media obsession with underwear bombs.

“The first photo, to the left, shows the slightly charred and singed underpants with the bomb packet still in place.”

I don’t know what you think, but if you did an underwear search of all the passengers flying these days, you’d probably find half of them are wearing underwear that’s slightly charred and singed with the “bomb packet” still in place.

The gastrointestinal health of the general population is atrocious! And by the time you add in some airport food and in-flight processed food snacks, pretty much everyone on the airplane is setting off a little bomb packet by the time they get off the plane.

I am truly embarrassed at the level of hysteria from people, especially self-described libertarians. Over at the forum, two or three little boys with too much time on their hands who occasionally obsess on me with entire threads, are making the comment that I “had some strange things to say” about the Nigerian email scammer bomber. People actually believe the government’s official story that this was al Qaeda’s attempt to bring down an American passenger plane. Does it strike anybody that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was someone’s patsy? Or that the bomb was supposed to fizzle? Do they wonder how he got on the plane? Is no one concerned that the Feds lied about that event from the moment it happened, as has been revealed by passenger Kurt Haskell? Why isn’t FOX concerned about that story? And then there’s the alleged plot to blow up trans-Atlantic jetliners headed for the U.S.?

Look at this hilarious article on ABC. It’s a detailed play-by-play about incendiary underwear. And then there’s this event that took place a couple of days after the Nigerian’s Detroit fizzle.

A second scare of a possible bomb on Northwest Airlines flight 253 Sunday was the result of a passenger who refused to come out of the bathroom because he was sick with food poisoning, law enforcement officials told

A guy was sick and stayed in the bathroom too long, setting off the hysteria bells. It turns out the man had food poisoning. So now, every happening that doesn’t conform to the day-to-day listing of usual things becomes “a terrorist scare.” Americans were getting too complacent because all of the presumed terrorist attacks weren’t happening, so then, the US government gets the ideal framework for re-launching its own brand of terrorism on its citizens. Something had to happen to awaken the sleeping giant that used to be the War on Terror. Too many people had decided to go on with their lives, and had forgotten about the day-to-day threat of Muslims hiding beneath their beds.

So we had a black Nigerian Muslim, who should have been on the no-fly list and wasn’t. Did you immediately smell new – more oppressive – protocol coming on? A story quickly evolved that his father had warned U.S. authorities of his son’s radicalism. Now that’s an awfully convenient story line, and it sounds pretty feeble to me. It certainly invites a ramp up of U.S. intelligence on the basis that we have had far too little of it in place.

Now the US government can fix the rules to brand us all terrorists, even based on such overwhelming evidence as “someone said.” The man came on board without a passport (new protocol smell) and with a bomb. My first thought was that the TSA would surely get all of the nudity x-ray machines it demands. Body cavity searches will become a new norm. In fact, the new wave of security – to keep us all safe from Muslims – will be oppressive in the extreme. Just look at the crazed new rules that went into place immediately after the Nigerian’s fizzle flight.

The media is slurping up this garbage and filling the trough where dumbass Americans can hang out and lap up the tidbits with gusto. We are now told that there are hundreds more Abudulmutallabs out there searching for opportunities to kill Americans. The whole thing has been set up to make certain that Americans get the impression that our already oppressive “security” failed, that we need many more layers of security to stave off further attempts at terrorism, and assuredly, it will all occur in the name of expediency. The CIA, FBI, and TSA will get unlimited budgets to grow their tentacles to “fight this terrorism.”

Just today, two more non-event events shut down two airports. I listened to the shrieking, hysterical FOX commentators doing an all-day play-by-play of the Bakersfield airport “bomb scare,” and then they followed that with the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport hysteria.

A bomb was suspected to have been smuggled in checked luggage at Minneapolis Saint Paul (MSP) International Airport at noon time today. A bomb-sniffing dog reacted to a checked bag on the luggage carousel. A bomb squad was dispatched while part of the airport was shut down and evacuated for about an hour … The latest update is that there was no security threat, and all flights are operating as normal. The latest update is that the pink bag that was identified as suspicious was actually airport property that is used by airport crews to signal that all luggage has been unloaded.

In Bakersfield:

MSP Airport bomb scare is the second false security alarm in one day. Just this morning, hazardous material was found at Bakersfield Airport causing two TSA workers to become sick. It turned out later the material found was honey packed into five soft drink bottles.

A pink airport-owned bag and honey? How fucking farcical can things get? How have people become so unhinged that they cling to this bullshit?

From the very first second I heard about the underwear bomber over Detroit, I knew exactly where it was leading. Now the acquiescent, milquetoast American citizenry will beg for massively invasive security and totalitarian terror safeguards in the name of “staying safe” so they can make it to their credit card-funded Disneyland vacation on time.

Methinks the Mullahs are getting a laugh out of this. I agree with you Karen. Leaving any other theories aside, to even consider that the ‘enemy’ has transitioned from an extensively planned exercise on 9/11 into a Fruit Of The Boom lone weakling with possible emotional troubles is ludicrous.

A nicely hatched holiday event is just the recipe for escalating the anxiety of the sheep, exerting more control so as to ‘protect’ them, while blowing more of their dollars abroad playing global hopscotch. I am not sure which disgusts me most; the transparent ploy being foisted upon this country or the general public acting like some baby birds in a nest with mouths open wide while momma bird pukes down their throats…..

A rare few even question why some radical elements of other nations even wish to harm Americans in the first place. This is a non-issue in most debates.

Further encroachment upon individual privacy and dignity via body searches will foster a further dehumanization of the masses into automatons. It is easier to control automatons than rational thinking individuals.

Karen, you’re one of the most reasonable, dignified people I know. All the more telling that you had to curse to properly reflect the enormity of evil. Acquiescent milquetoast indeed.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one perceiving the ” UndieBomber ” to be some dim-witted Brainwashed or Hypnotized ” PATSY ” put onto a plane to create an ” Incident ” that everyone will Focus on and Over Exaggerate Mentally while
” Our Magnificent Government ” is off Enslaving The World!! You Betcha!!

It’s all illustrated clearly in the brilliant and much under-appreciated Mike Judge movie Idiocracy. Far from being science fiction comedy, this movie is a tragic documentary on what is taking shape right now in Amerika. Prepare for things to get infinitely worse in the coming decade.

“Now the acquiescent, milquetoast American citizenry will beg for massively invasive security”.

But that’s not what’s happening. There’s a call to stop the nonsensical focus on ordinary American citizens and start focusing on the faction that’s causing the problem. It’s called profiling and it’s about time.

No Ron, the average American — including Gramma – is already paying for the invasion. Read the news.

Idiocracy was a great movie — especially the first half hour.

Recently an Asian male walked through a door to meet up with and leave Newark airport with a woman. However that door was supposed to be being guarded by a TSA employee who happened to be yakking on a cell phone.

Some ” citizen ” saw the man go through the door and all Hell broke loose and the terminal was shut down and flights canceled. Everyone there had to go through the long screening process again.

The security is wacko!! When i shop for food in Manhattan I have to take two trains and two buses to get back home on Staten Island because the ” Brownshirts ” with the bomb sniffing dogs drag their dogs over my food while they verbally taunt and harass me trying to provoke some kind of a confrontation with a 65 year old disabled man.

At the St. George Ferry Terminal on Staten Island the cops and ” dog men ” are in the waiting area watching for terrorists coming through the doors while behind them people are having their stuff stolen and the dope addicts are shooting up the drugs they just bought on bus ramp ” D ” where the police do not venture!! It is just Plainly Pathetic!! You Betcha!!!

Ron, at first I thought that profiling was a good idea too, but then realized that this latest ‘terrorist’ could have been a white Belgium who should have been caught but for the stupidity of the one who sold him a ticket. Let us get real here..this guy bought a ticket and paid cash…he had no passport, he was a male, young at that and he had no luggage to speak of…it was a one way ticket..that alone should have sent signals to the person checking him in the airport. When will common sense ever prevail with these scenes. Just like the 9/11 Muhammads who attended flight schools here and requested only to fly, not stop, not start, just learn to fly. And yet, it seemed to go unnoticed even though it was totally out of the realm of normalcy. You see what I am saying? The CIA and the FBI don’t sell tickets at the airport, nor do they run the aviation schools across the country. Is it to much to expect ordinary americans to put on a thinking cap, or are we so dumb downed now that even blatant actions can happen. For a good laugh on the genitalia bomb threat ck out this Colbert video posted yeterday, January 5th…might as well laugh as it would be so easy to cry over all the simpletons who miss the simple stuff. Let us also not forget the reams of paper sitting on a desk in DC revealing the day the towers would be hit, but alas, there were no translators for the arabic warning. What a major joke!

Jeannie, you are right. I don’t need a movie to help me interpret real life… Many “accidents” are preceded by a display of obvious signs of trouble (in reflection). Remember JFK Jr.’s refusal to cancel his flight after many obstacles that if heeded would have saved him and his passengers? We continue to not heed the obvious signs of trouble ahead. We should get our sh*t together at the airports or adopt the Israel methods at the airports if we can’t.

Are the conspiracy theorists saying that Obama has taken the baton from GW Bush and is trying to scare us till we submit to his plan of domination? Funny they seem to have left Obama out of the conversation….

Karen, I must point out that you (in this article) have fallen into the pit of Political Correctness with your omission of pinning the tail on the donkey named Obama. He is left out of the conversation completely…

Is he in the dark on this conspiracy? How could this be? Is he as stupid, or more stupid than Bush?

It’s so easy to be sarcastic, but if one provides no solution then you have truly wasted the reader’s time. And the f…ing is totally was a totally uncalled for distraction–upon seeing that, you lost all credibilty in what you had written earlier. If you truly have a better way to conduct airport security, then I suggest you submit a detailed plan. If it just because you don’t like to be subjected to the screening, it is your option to drive or take a bus. Flying in not a right!

  13. Karen De Coster says:

    January 7th, 2010 at 8:33 pm

Here’s another asshole – D. East – who thinks you need a solution for every criticism or diagnosis you make. East, you are a piece of worthless, 75-IQ, cornbread-ass shit. Go and learn the difference between private security and coercive “security” from a government with a monopoly on force. You stupid dick.

  14. Sal says:

    January 7th, 2010 at 9:18 pm

Karen please, I’m not a bread eater, but now I cannot look at a slice of cornbread the same way…;-)

Private security? Oh my God! You mean keep the govt. out of things and actually have a private company hire their own guys to ride shotgun? That is ludicrous cuz it would actually work.

  15. cousin lucky says:

    January 8th, 2010 at 11:19 pm

Well the security cameras at Newark airport are working as they took a picture of the Asian guys plate and they went to his home and arrested him. I guess they are going to charge him with making the government look stupid!!

His female friend gave him a kiss and they left the terminal. What was his intended crime?? If the TSA employee had of been doing his job he would have probably told the man and his female friend where the nearest ” appropriate ” exit was to the parking lot. If the guy has the financial resources to afford a good lawyer he can probably sue for false arrest and malicious prosecution!!

  17. M. Terry says:

Jeannie has good points about profiling. Profiling is often just an excuse for arresting people for “driving while black” in the wrong neighborhood.

That being said, the unmitigated thuggery by the unconscious TSA goon does little to “keep us all safe.” Repeatedly harassing the ubiquitous granny with the titanium hip, and relieving her of her dangerous cuticle scissors doesn’t do squat other than squander time.

The fact appears to be in the “connecting the dots” scenario, that the main problem is that since 9/11, the DHS has redoubled their efforts to spy on average, law abiding Americans. There’s so many names on the “do not fly” list, including the late Senator Kennedy, that they can’t keep track of any legitimate threats.

    As usual, the system’s broke.
