On Government and Your 401k

Tomorrow (Tuesday, October 6th) I will be back on the Mike Church Show, on the Patriot channel on Sirius radio, channel 144. I will be on at 9:40am EST and we will be discussing the social engineers/confiscators – those who aspire to steal, tax, control, and/or nationalize your 401k (which is, by the way, a sinister and highly-regulated creation of the government via its tax code).

It’s Amazon.com’s more traditional books, now…not that any of them are moving my interest meter.
Let’s see…on the comment page it’s now music, The Beatles – Stereo Box set. Ooooh, and a Barbara Streisand album, “Love Is The Answer!”

“the social engineers/confiscators – those who aspire to steal, tax, control, and/or nationalize” – reminds me of this article I read recently, CHÁVEZ’S EDUCATIONAL REFORM: VENEZULA’S SOCIETY SPLITS ONCE MORE
Its critics maintain that some of its articles appear to be aimed less at improving the quality of Venezuelan education and more at expanding the state’s control mechanisms over aspects of public life which have little to do with the school system.

It was difficult for me to see how the government of Chavez was any different than many up here in government and where they want to take our country. I wonder what the children in this country would write if they were asked, what does it mean to be an American, would it be shocking and contrary to what the adults have in mind?
On my comments page are ads for videos: The Office, a show that demonstartes how stupid upper mgt. and individuals in organizations can be, X-Men Origins, a show about the state doing things in secret it shouldn’t, Grey’s Anatomy, I have no clue what that is about, probably subliminal reasons put forth why gov’t should rule individuals? ANd, The Wizard of Oz, how very fitting, eh?

My brother and I always talk about how we knew back in high school in the 70′s that Social Security was broke. But I commented that if we had had the option to opt out and put it in a 401k, they’d be after that, too. Anywhere there’s a good industry or business, or a big wad of cash, the government figures it has some right to it. Nothing is safe when the government is out of control.
