On his website, The Libertarian Enterprise, Neil Smith has a most excellent comment about next week’s attempt, on the part of the Obama administration, at making brown shirts out of all the public school kiddies.

It is more than likely now that Tuesday’s address by the President to the nation’s captive children being held in day-prisons across the land will be mild and general, due to the storm of protest that arose when it was announced he was going to make it.

Thousands of parents, maybe more, intend to keep their kids at home that day. Others have persuaded local admnistrations not to run it at all. This is entirely the fault of the President, having exploited some messianic drive in some voters to choose him in the first place, having repeatedly called for citizens to inform on their neighbors, and having threatened us with, among other things, a civilian security corps “as powerful as the military”.

Or words to that effect.

And now, when some of his underlings in Congress have revealed that the FEMA concentration camps the government has been accused of creating (the accusers having formerly been dismissed as paranoids) are real, and in need of funding, he expects people to let him directly address what he must surely regard as tomorrow’s Obama Youth?

Paraphrasing the words of a courageous disabled Marine Corps veteran who recently confronted one of Obama’s Congressional minions, “Leave our chldren alone!”

And be aware that, although this first attempt will now be mellowed down, the second, or the third, or the fourth will assuredly not be. This would be god-emperor must be denied at every turn if we are to survive his—hopefully brief—regime and regain our freedom.

Consider for a minute how remarkably arrogant that self-glorifying snake, Obama, has to be, along with his White House cheerleading corps, in order to think they could pull this thing off without immediate displays of hostility, from the public, toward a very conspicuous attempt at brainwashing every single child in Obamapolitics. On September 2, ABC News – along with every other media outlet on the planet – reported the Obamascheme to have the kiddies write a paper pledging their soul and sacrifice to Obama’s glory state.

As one of the preparatory materials for teachers provided by the Department of Education, students had been asked to, “Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. “

Today, after Republicans accused the White House of trying to indoctrinate school children with liberal propaganda the White House and the Department of Education changed the section to now read, “Write letters to themselves about how they can achieve their short‐term and long‐term education goals.”As one of the preparatory materials for teachers provided by the Department of Education, students had been asked to, “Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president.”

Knowing that the conservative media is just waiting and salivating for moments like this to occur, how in the hell did this malarkey get to first base? The Department of Education preparatory materials (“Menu of Classroom Activities”) also include the following:

Students should discuss, the lesson plan writes, “What do you think the President wants us to do? Does the speech make you want to do anything? Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us? What would you like to tell the President?”

And another section within the preparatory materials instructs students to discuss, “Is President Obama inspiring you to do anything? Is he challenging you to do anything?”

Further research into the Menu of Classroom Activities finds this:

Teachers could extend learning by having students: • Create posters of their goals. • Write goals on colored index cards or precut designs to post around the classroom. • Interview one another and share goals with the class to create a supportive community. • Participate in school‐wide incentive programs or contests for those students who achieve their goals. • Write about their goals in a variety of genres, such as poems, songs, and personal essays. • Create artistic projects based on the themes of their goals. • Graph individual progress toward goals.

What a perverted affair. Poor Obama, he can’t get a thing right after only seven months in office – even his popularity numbers have hit the outhouse bottom. The latest polls show a 43% approval rate among Americans. And he still thinks he walk on water in lead shoes.

CNN is reporting that Laura Bush is defending the Obama concert (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/09/07/laura-bush-defends-obama-school-speech/), er speech. And my statist Democratic and Republican friends see a story such as that, yet are still puzzled why I am “non-partisan” and don’t vote. Oh well, I guess since Whitney Houston is trying to mount a comeback, post-rehab, she should receive some royalties tomorrow when Obama croons to our schoolkids on his national hookup: “I believe the children are MY future / give them hell / and let ME lead the way …”

OH boy…today we heard the prez spoke to the school kids, and of course, who could possibly disagree with telling kids to study hard and stay in school. All well and good, right? But why does the Dept of Education website linked from the White House website say this…

“The first point on the Pre-K through 6th grade lesson plan says: “Teachers can build background knowledge about the President of the United States and his speech by reading books about presidents and Barack Obama.”

The “menu” for 7th through 12th grade suggests that teachers post “large print” quotations from Obama’s speeches about education on their classroom walls.”

“Teachers may post in large print around the classroom notable quotes excerpted from President Obama’s speeches on education,” says the lesson plan.

The lesson plans do not suggest posting on classroom walls quotations from any other American president, living or dead. One is left thinking why LARGE PRINT? DO THEY THINK THE KIDS HAVE EYE PROBLEMS REQUIRING SUCH LARGE LETTERS, OR IS THE LARGER MESSAGE ONE OF HYPNOSIS..THE EFFECT OF WHICH IS TO INSTILL Vi A A CONSTANT BARRAGE OF REMINDERS OF THE BIG O. Check out this article on CSN—-http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/53656 Note the last paragraph which reads…”The lesson plans do not suggest posting on classroom walls quotations from any other American president, living or dead” Oh really now…does this mean that all aforesaid US presidents are not worthy or didn’t have half the brain power of the big O, or put in policies that made the country such a sad place that the O has to apologize to the rest of the planet. When you see and understand why they don’t want other president’s quotes, you might ask, why don’t they have the kids put on their class walls, both Obama’s birth certificate as well as all of his school records starting with earliest grades…all the way up to college…and for a little extra, his writings while in law school and how he really feels about our Constitution.
You think that this will ever show up on school walls? NEVER!
