My Book ProjectsSunday, October 28, 2012
I went to the Mises Institute Supporters Summit this weekend for three reasons: (1) as a last hurrah, before I get really busy (2) to see some old friends and meet some new ones, and (3) to draw some inspiration from the event, and come home with a plan for what book(s) I will write, and how and when.
Some discussions took place with some notable people who understand the book authoring, marketing, and selling business, and I have a much better direction for what I need to do. There are still many details to iron out, but things are now moving forward. That said, I am focusing on two books in the near future, one of which will be on the politics of food from a radical, anarcho-libertarian perspective. The other is a potential co-write with a best-selling author and distinctive member of the Real Food community. Format, publishers, and people involved will be kept quiet for now, but these are finally getting off the ground just as two things are beginning to keep me grounded and more homebound than usual: (1) winter coming on, and (2) my still having to nurse a ton of injuries and engaging the necessary rest, medical procedures (surgery avoidance measures), and/or surgery to get things radically fixed up.
In my mind, every down side can be used to launch an upside. Less dicking around with all of the fitness stuff and outdoor adventure means more time to attack these projects with fervor.
