I only got a chance to see about ten seconds of Obama preaching to the NAACP but it was enough to make my stomach turn. And yes it was embarrassing!

Do we have time enough to educate enough young people to correct this problem before the country capitulates? That’s my primary concern.

Exactly. These kind of speeches only serve to incite unrest and eventually civil riots when the masses awaken to see what is really happening. A lot of people will be pointing the finger and wanting to be rescued. By then, for many folks it will be to late.

Political bullshit. Meh.

I’m more worried about him getting involved in that business with the cop arresting that Harvard professor at his home. I don’t know what really happened, but I’d bet that race had nothing to do with it–it was just another cop asserting his authoritah. Although police bigotry is a legitimate problem, it was inappropriate to bring it up in that speech before all the facts have come in about what really happened.

It’s a style of speech making, I was taugh it. MLK is the best example of this style. It is supposed to be like the flow of musical notes if done correctly, hypnotic even. Obviously he didn’t do well. I think it’s not something a person can pick up easily. He needs more class time and practice, haha.

You’re right of course, the pandering is just embarrassing. Fakery at its finest, true believers at their best.

Of course if Ron Paul or Lew Rockwell gave a speech in the south and pandered to a lobby with a southern accent, the outcry and mockery would never end. All the exceptional interventionists would huff and puff and stab below the belt… like they always do. They don’t like when people with principles interrupt their interventionist singalongs and group therapy sessions.

I saw him doing this early on the campaign trail and I laughed out loud. Of course it would be racist for a white man to appeal to a black audiene this way, but that’s beside the point. He’s must be a true man of the people (i.e. crowd pleaser), I don’t know who’s trying harder to get people to like him Tom Green or Barack Obama (sorry that’s kind of a dated reference).
