Man With Open Carry Near Obama – Horrors, Gasp, Awful!

“A guy has a gun in the open near our “historic” president?” (Yes, he said historic.)

This was “developing news” on MSNBC. Obama was on his way to a town hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. There were many protesters standing around waiting for his arrival. One man was openly carrying a handgun. The man, it is said, had a permit, had a registered gun, and had permission from the property owner (church property) to be on the property with his open carry gun. Watch Larry, Curly, and Moe debate this endlessly, stating that the guy should be removed from the private property immediately. They are demanding that Feds round the guy up and remove him from the same vicinity of the Great Messiah who is soon to grace the proletariats of Portsmouth with his legendary and divine presence. Curly says, “I can’t imagine there aren’t enough lawyers in New Hampshire who can’t file some kind of emergency injunction.”

In fact, at 4:20 of the video, watch Curly talk about the “spirited” debates, where he actually says that some of the town hall protests went too far because “sometimes words can turn into actions, and those actions in some cases can be violent.” The three stooges them imply that something should be done about the protests. These hysterical milquetoasts are an embarrassment to themselves, their profession, and their American heritage. Here is Chris Matthews interviewing the “would-be killer.” Watch Matthews press him to try and make him comment that Obama’s presidency is illegitimate so he can disqualify him as a “birther.” Then watch his reaction to the man’s endorsement for Ron Paul.

Update: Here is Chris Matthews interviewing the “would-be killer,” William Kostric. Watch Matthews press him to try and make him declare that Obama’s presidency is illegitimate so he can disqualify him as a “birther.” Then watch his reaction to the man’s endorsement for Ron Paul. Thanks to Damon and Harold for the links.

Karen, that’s an insult to the great Moe, Larry, and Curley! Even Shemp kicks these guys’ asses.

The woman is the worst. “My question is, why can’t we get rid of him now?” Like it’s “our” decision. Then later, she says the protesters are split between those “for health care” and those against.

I don’t have much use for MSNBC, anyway.

I hold no brief for the Democrats but, had it been Dubya on his way to Town Hall, this gun owner would have been arrested on the spot (probably after being stomped flat). “Terrism”, you know. The Democrats just piss and squeal about it, making themselves look both tyrannical and weak. That’s the worst image you can project in politics. Let’s hope they continue making fools of themselves this way.

William Kostric is a member of the Free State Project.

I’m sure you did. I really like those guys, esp. Free Talk Live host Ian Freeman –

I’m with you on this one Karen. I trust that there’s nothing wrong with being a Free Stater. Actually William Kostric is one of my new heroes. He did well not to lose his temper with the unspeakable, vile Chris Matthews and I thought that under the circumstances of that interview he did very satisfactorily. The msm is totally despicable.

Chris Mathews is the most sickening host on any tv network. …what a pompous ass!….and for all his bullying of Mr. Kostric, Mathews came out on the bottom anyway – Kostric creamed him.

As to the nitwits on MSNBC discussing the armed Mr. Kostric, what a bunch of self-righteous know-it-alls. THEY get to decide what the appropriate action should be, apparently. The way the announcer casually says, “This ‘Historic’ President….” cracks me up.

This is so funny. It could be a good SNL skit.

I think I saw a guy in the crowd making a fist. He must be stopped.

    A fist? Fist control!

I kept wondering, is this sort of how black people felt in the 1950′s? It’s my understanding that a black person was viewed as a threatening being, if found in certain situations, and simply couldn’t be tolerated by certain other people who acted much the way the MSNBC talking heads were. For instance (not a perfect example) if a shirtless black man appeared on the grounds of an all white women’s college dormitory in the 1950’s wouldn’t the local “elite” have acted the same way and said the same things as these MSNBC talking heads did? All the while ignoring the shirtless white men on campus (armed police & body guards et al). The shirtless black man being well within his rights, a danger to no one as it were, while his rights were talked about by the, ‘elite” as something that needed to be restricted or that he needed to be removed from the area as a potential danger? In the 1940’s (G.W.) they would have just, “taken out” the black man and not done any talking? Or am I way off base with this one?

I think. although I don’t doubt that William’s intentions are honorable, that this is more damaging to the constitutionalist/free stater position than helpful.

It is not likely that the connection between rights and ObamaCare is clear to most people, even to those in the crowd at the meeting.

Also, since he was not (and could not have imagined that he would be) allowed inside, I have doubts about the claim that he was there to question Obama. He was there, plainly, to make a statement about firearms and freedom (two of my favorite subjects).

At best, it is off point. At worst, it creates the impression that the advocates of guns and freedom are either too angry, or of too limited an attention span to be taken seriously in the argument (it was about medical insurance).

Sorry to say that I think the FSP got more negative notice over this than positive.

On the other hand, if Robin is right (about W’s meetings etc.) – it would have been a good demonstration of abusive government to have been arrested for carrying legally.

(I was an early member of the FSP and already lived here and I carry a gun)

How come no one talking about the black man who open carried a side arm and a rifle at the Arizona town hall meeting? Or, if they do mention it as the associated press did, only referencing the fact that one man had a rifle…didn’t say he was a black man. Guess the media is just doing what it always does in trying to turn it into a racial thing…heaven forbid mentioning a black man open carrying near the site of our “historic” eminence, I mean president, I mean messiah…oh heck what is he…oh yes there have been a few others in our history who thought freedom wasn’t a good thing, what did we call them?

Amazing, someone had a gun and NOTHING happened other than the media was upset and the paranoid anti-gun jerks were concerned. What really happened was a black man, known by local police, was making a statement while the national media altered the video to hide his skin color! This is “reporting?” Ask Obamanation why this does not put them in the same groups as Fox as not being real news chanels please.
