“Legal” Drugs Are Not Drugs

Five months after 32-year-old actress Brittany Murphy was found dead of “natural causes,” her 39-year-old husband was also found dead of, well, natural causes.

The pharmaceutical industry is so worshiped and defended, the medical establishment and media refuse to call its drugs “drugs.” Chemical, body-changing pharmaceuticals are a higher form of “medication,” of course, while the natural cannabis plant is condemned and criminalized.

Amazingly, the article says this about Murphy’s death last year (see if you can spot the contradiction):

An autopsy found no evidence that Murphy abused drugs. Investigators found numerous prescription medications in the actress’ home.

Surely, Hollywood celebrities in their 30s just drop dead of “natural causes” all the time.

The use of cannabis plants is demonized and proponents of other homeopathic remedies are often labeled “knuckle-draggers” is testament to the power of the pharmaceutical-medical-hospital-healthcare-industrial complex.

I grew up in Blacksburg, VA (just recently moved to Durham, NC), and the prescription drug problem is rampant. People deal and sell Lortab, Xanax, and Oxycontin on a regular basis. Yeah, yeah, that is illegal, but I don’t see SWAT teams busting down doors of prescription pill sellers.

In addition, most people believe that pills are not harmful if they are prescribed. Tell that to Brittany Murphy’s family. A few years ago, I heard the fascist Michael Medved praising the “war on drugs” because statistics showed that drug use, especially among teenagers, had decreased. What he failed to realize is that the “hard” drugs have been replaced by the “safe” drugs.

Yeah, isn’t it ironic? The average american takes 12 or so prescription drugs every year. I am sure there are many more overdoses being dubbed “natural causes” that we aren’t hearing about.

(Just a joke here – for fun only)

Hey! Would my overdosing myself recently on Alpha Lipoic Acid (aka ALA) count?

Man! Did it ever blow me up (and you buy it at the food store after all!)!

    Karen hasn’t stopped laughing yet!

But yeh, I AM still “dropping” the acid (a saturated fat), and Flax Seed oil, and Vit D (you rock!).

Now including a probiotic called Acidopholous (sp??).

Great piece of bacteria! Go gut@
