The article Ted Nugent wrote about animal attacks on people was spot on. You get the idea that gun control really means, “animal rights” that is, animals have the right to kill people at will and people have no right to defend themselves from attack. Such is enforced by the power and domination of government dictate over the individual.

His article seems to make a freedom minded person, indeed, any person who wants to live, like the guy. That is until you read his other big government loving articles such as, Nugent: We could be winning war on drugs, where he says, “I’m aware there are prominent conservatives who make strong arguments in favor of legalizing drugs — for one, that it will take away a tool of organized crime. I don’t believe that. Legalizing drugs would be like pouring gasoline on a blazing fire in hopes of extinguishing it. We have all the laws we need to fight drugs. What America needs is the willpower and a renewed warrior spirit to crush evil and evil-doers… America needs to better arm our Border Patrol agents and we need more of them.”

Is that the same Border Patrol that tasered the preacher recently who was demanding his Fourth Amendment rights be observed at a checkpoint, well within our borders? Are this preacher and others who desire to be free from road blocks and Check-Point-Charlie the ones who Ted Nugent seeks to crush in his lust to wage war? By calling for more Border Patrol agents to fight The Drug War, is Ted Nugent calling for more of what the NRA recently claimed on its website: Border Patrol does house to house searches for guns? Are non-violent illegal drug users deserving of being attacked by a warrior spirit while government sanctioned prescription medication users are different and more equal and get a pass? Do cancer patients who choose to use illegal drugs to ease their suffering deserve to be crushed, beaten, tasered and jailed as evil-doers? Ted Nugent says, “Every American who smokes dope, manufactures, buys or sells meth or uses any illegal drug is aiding and abetting the enemies of America. Case closed.” Or does he have it all wrong and The Drug War supports the terrorist organizations the same way Prohibition supported Al Capone and the gangs of Chicago of long ago? Does Ted Nugent’s desire to give, “Officer Ness” even more power equal the real gasoline on the fire? Ted Nugent reminds me of Walter Williams when he fills in for Rush, one day Walter seems like a friend of liberty and the next he’s ready to, “take out” his neighbor for owning an unfired cannon which happens to be pointed at his house. [Walter said this on the radio.] I used to like Ted Nugent, as I once liked Walter, but after tonight, Ted Nugent comes across as a two-faced puppet and government-as-god-of-us-all loving stogie, they both got some things wrong. They want it both ways. Thanks for posting this, things are more clear now. When animals attack, indeed.
