Food Totalitarians Ramp Up Their “Wars”

Sunday, June 27, 2010

Last week, the Los Angeles Times ran an article about the new government initiative on food which is the same as the old government initiative, except this time they mean it. From the LA Times article:

“The basic advice is the same. The new twist is that they’re recognizing the fact that it’s very hard for people to follow that advice,” said Margo Wootan, nutrition policy director of the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest.

The initiative is to get people to follow the special interest-influenced government food pyramid, which puts fat in the same ‘evil’ category as sugar and salt. As we know, the low-fat campaign, for 2+ decades, has created a generation of obese, unhealthy, nutritionally deficient, tax-feeding Americans who live on fast food and processed food, and make carbohydrates the bulk of their diets while they substitute barely edible, chemical-loaded Lean Cuisine frozen entrees for real, whole foods with healthy fats. (Make sure you eat those healthy, healthy cereals, hamburger buns, and saltine crackers, along with hydrogenated oils, as the pyramid spells out.)

Therefore, the USDA Guidelines Advisory Committee – a panel of 13 experts(!) handpicked by government and special interests – is rolling out some plans for making America collectively trim and healthy.

The panel called for improvements in nutrition literacy and cooking skills to encourage preparation of healthy foods at home; increased emphasis on health, nutrition and physical education in schools; and increased availability of fresh produce for consumers.

Although few Americans may be familiar with details of the guidelines beyond the government’s widely publicized food pyramid, the document influences decisions in school breakfast and lunch programs, Meals on Wheels, food labeling and in discussions on regulatory issues such as food marketing to children.

This is all in response to the ramp-up of the salt wars. The War on Salt will become the War on Everything (that special interests and corporatist interests deem target worthy). Thank New Yorkers for starting the ball rolling on the Salt War. New York City is always a central point for Lifestyle Nazi inanity. Thanks to the Bloomberg & Co. busybodies, we have the National Salt Reduction Initiative, which aims to regulate salt via federal laws.

If you look at the website of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (there is such a thing!), note what they deem important: that everyone get an HIV test (that’s an equality tactic so we don’t discriminate against those people who lead lives that put themselves at risk); color-coding cigarette packs according to their risk level; pushing the “health benefits” of government rent seeking on sugar-laden beverages; giving local restaurants letter “grades” based on their conformity to food “safety” rules; and the importance using the digital age to shatter medical privacy. And now New York and its empowered Health Nazis want to regulate our bodies and eating habits.

And then we find out, via the Rasmussen Reports, that 48% of the masses (yes, even the dumbed-down sheeple) think government is a threat to their individual rights.

I am going to continue w/ my high (saturated) fat, high protein, high raw vegetable (enzyme replacement therapy), high cheese & olives & nuts diet. Been there for 20 years & I can see my toes (better than that actually, my rehab track times in the 100 or as good as my 100 interval workouts when I was in shape – I was sub 20s (18s) when I pushed it).

And I continue to take Alpha Lipoic Acid along w/ a probiotic called Acidophilus (spelling?). Talk about an engine burn! But my sleep cycle finally got restored and now back to a homeostatic condition.

Folks, I would only listen to the FDA in order to do the EXACT opposite.

My first boss was ingenious in some regards, but this one is a jewel: “A man who is always wrong is just as valuable in a binary hypothesis testing problem as man who is always right!”

But simply put, ANY agency who determines that High Fructose Corn Syrup is NATURAL is bonked. It digests like the other familiar toxin – beer! (And wine and hard liqour too) Your body does not recognize it as a food. So for the HFCS saturated generation which is our kids, we get to expect an onset of a cirrhosis of the liver plague in about 10 years – swell!

Also, as Dr Mercola points out, this high carb lo fat thing was started by Dr Keyes who basically botched his research (of the K-ration fame). They new back in the 1960′s that the proper fats were actually healthy for you and decided to stay mum on the subject. Just an FYI.

And oh yeah! I will continue to “roll my own” as regards cigs. Again, it is a disgusting habit, but with that said, I am also feeling better since I am not smoking paper that is FSC’d (in MD) and all the other toxic chemicals (like arsenic for rat poison) that they put in the tobacco. Just straight tobacco.

And it costs 1/10 the amount of store bought cigarettes as well! You should see my monthly budgets for the last 3 months, Phi Slamma Jamma!

Also, good news, for some strange reason, I am also smoking about 2-4 packs less a week!?!? (When I was a 10K racer and Ultimate Disc player in my early 30′s, I smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day. Folks just couldn’t understand how I did it! I kept on trying to explain the dyamics of the pulmonary system especially the cleansing operation of those (uvioli???) little thingies in the lungs. They just looked at me like I had a 3rd eye. But other athletes have reported similar experiences – not just me! I wonder…

The D.A.R.E. billboard is still up, the one with the phrase, “If you cook it, we will come” under a picture of a swat team all geared up and ready to bash some heads and bust down some doors, perhaps TPTB intend to re-use the billboard and put the swat team to other uses? After all, they can’t have the little people thinking they can make their own, or even thinking, for that matter.

It seems the whole world, or 52% anyway, have just gone plain nutz.

The government cannot achieve total power over our lives until it controls our food supply. Thus the repeated statist “initiatives” to demonize, tax, restrict, or ban good food, so that non-elites are forced into a diet of processed sludge and animal fodder. Disobey these creeps and disregard their corporatist “food pyramid”.
