CDC Turns Up the Fearmongering

In late October, the CDC reported approximately 1,000 deaths from the swine flu in the U.S. Two weeks later, the number is 4,000. That’s because the original count included only laboratory confirmed cases, while the new numbers include estimates from epidemiologists. Apparently, people aren’t dying in large enough numbers as the government bureaucrats had hoped.

Remember that The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology released a report on August 7th stating that the swine flu”epidemic” could cause up to 90,000 deaths. As stated in the report, that is after “initial concerns of an extremely high fatality rate have receded.”

Eventually everyone will go into ” automatic mute ” whenever any government official says anything at all.

Two quotes below from George Orwell!!

Political Language – Is Designed To Make Lies Sound Truthful And Murder
Respectable, And To Give An Appearance Of Solidity To Pure Wind.

The Great Enemy Of Clear Language Is Insincerity. When There Is A Gap
Between Ones Real And Ones Declared Aims, One Turns, As It Were,
Instinctively To Long Words And Exhausted Idioms, Like A Cuttlefish
    Squirting Out Ink.

Saw that on the news the other day and the talking head actually had the audacity to say:

“They were using the actual data up until August but now use computer models because they’re more accurate.”

Makes your head want to explode.

man, Karen, just when i think i might get over just how obviously ridiculous this whole thing is, this morning, i read this:
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33914471/ns/health-cold_and_flu/

this woman should be the poster child for the effectiveness of Project Swine Flu: 2009′s Greatest Propaganda Campaign.
    and i LOVE this bit:
“We have found virtually no one to assure us that we will find a booster shot soon,” said Newman, who is especially worried about Rory, who has Type 1 diabetes and was hospitalized with a suspected H1N1 infection a week after her first vaccine. “The system seems to be failing in multiple ways.”
    you don’t say?

For the 2010-2011 flu season, at the hospital I worked at in Buffalo NY, there was a big to-do about the state mandating flu vaccines for health care workers. It was going to become a mandatory condition for employment where I worked, with our especially immunocompromised patients, as well as other hospitals statewide per CDC recommendations/guidelines. Obviously that didn’t go over too well, and when it got to the courts it was shot down. However I stupidly received the vaccine, thinking it was just flu but I found out later it was a 3-in1 with the swine flu vaccine being snuck in. My aunt had Guillen-Barre’s after the swine flu vaccine in the 70′s, I was mad. I’m especially incensed at my recall of flyers hung everywhere I worked at the time stating that the CDC (and I believe I remember correctly) estimated that 50 PERCENT of the US would come down with the swine flu. All of this led me to refuse the shot this flu season, which means I have chosen to submit to having to wear a mask while I work, some sort of attempt at humiliation or forceful compliance…. though I’m definitely not the only one….
