I know I am sick and tired of looking at these swollen water balloons everywhere I go. It is especially attractive when combined with cellulite. Come on, now – you don’t think I can avoid these social-cultural jabs on my blog for too long, do ya? In fact, it’s funny how these big-ticket embellishments became a boom time phenomenon made affordable by easy credit and easy pickings.

Skip Oliva alerted me to this site called perpetualkid.com, a website for parents of children and grown-up children who are ageless consumers of the campaign to keep Americans dumbed down and happily engaged in bread and circuses.

Here you can unleash your inner detective or old west bandit with the Fingerstache temporary tattoos, buy toys for the office to impress the boss, buy cupcake lip balm and pickle soap, and whoop it up each time you open a bottle of wine (this link is a must see). Don’t forget to have the 750ml wine glass with you when you pop the cork. You can even satisfy your cupcake fetish (including wearing a cupcake on your head).

Big, totalitarian government just loves bored people who need a constant dose of stimulation, perpetual amusement, loud noises, and things that go boom.

Here is some more madness on the part of the shopping intoxicated masses. In Texas, people were storming the malls and crushing their way through the doors to buy the new Nike Air Jordan athletic shoe at the bargain price of $175. Watch this video to see the crowds, and especially, the interviews with the consumers of overpriced gym shoes.

In Mesquite, Texas, a riot occurred at Towne East Mall, where people had been standing in line since the previous day. (See the video at the bottom of the story.) Police had to use pepper spray to calm the crowd, but don’t blame the cops for this one. The mob was forcing its way into a store that was not yet open for business. Here’s a snippet from the story to help one ascertain the primary concern of Boobus ConsumerAmericanus:

“I still haven’t gotten my Jordans,” Laurie Martinez said. “I’ll never do this again. It was my first time. I’ve never done it before but I’ll never do it again.”

I consider this sort of thing to be a mini-highlight reel pulled forward from the future. If Gerald Celente, Peter Schiff, Jim Rogers, and others are correct …… Thanks to Charles Everett for the link.

Here we go with another episode of Dingbatus Americanus Consumerism:

The line of several thousand waiting customers wrapped entirely around the Toys R Us building at 4411 W. Wisconsin Ave. Thursday night. Moments before the store opened at 10 p.m., the line of those who’d just arrived and line of those who’d waited many hours overlapped.

When the doors opened, everyone rushed the door. The store’s staff quickly became overwhelmed, locked the door and called police for assistance.

…Cpl. Jeff Oberg of the Grand Chute police arrived on scene and suggested the store create a barrier to control the line. Ten purple Babies R Us shopping carts were turned upside down in a row to thwart line-jumpers.

And all this over getting in line to be the first to save a few bucks on some dumbing-down junk toys at an overly-gigantic and tacky toy store. Too bad that the masses don’t line up to stampede nazi officials who steal and seize their property, send SWAT teams through their neighbor’s front door, tax their productivity and redistribute the booty, and assault their children and genitals under the guise of “security.” Toys versus freedom? Instant gratification wins. Give ‘em a lifetime of adult adolescence versus the prospect of freedom from tyranny. Thanks to Charles Everett for the link.

Alex Jones is right when he says “We are a wicked, decadent, degenerate society.” Not we, however, but they.

He brings up my pet peeve – the daily obsession with LeBron James. I am so sick of this constant obsession with LeBron James, a giant freak of nature who gets on his tippy toes to dunk a ball in a metal hoop. The hyper-obsession with that crap is a voluntary mental illness. Everywhere I go, that’s the only piece of news people want to discuss. As Jones also notes, the other great big piece of news is the life and times of Lindsay Lohan. A Google search of her name brings up in excess of 200 million listings.

Jones says the obsession with ”petty issues of little or no significance” is essentially why we are dumbed-down slaves. Since I have said similar things for a long time, I won’t argue with that conclusion. This (for the most part) is a pretty good rant.

On the Adam Lambert debacle:

In addition to dragging a female dancer around by the ankles, pushing a male dancer’s head into his crotch and simulating oral sex, walking a pair of male hoofers around like dogs on a leash, and furiously thrusting his hips at every opportunity, Lambert took a moment mid-song to fervently make out with (an allegedly straight) male keyboard player. After the jaw-dropping performance, Lambert told CNN that the forceful smooch was “in the moment” and was not a planned part of his routine.

Notice that Newsweek writer Julia Baird calls the reaction to this “homophobia.” Give me an effing break.

Yet the queers want us to look at this and tolerate it in the name of “diversity.” And by “tolerate,” I do not mean leave them alone to live their own lives and conduct voluntary actions that do not encroach upon the freedoms of others. In the modern, politically correct era, tolerance means to accept, appreciate, take pride in, and defend the perverted behavior of depraved individuals such as the freakish Adam Lambert. Whether this swine is a queer or not a queer does not change the disgusting nature of his actions. Yet he uses his queerness – as do all of the activist homosexuals – to push the queer agenda and to push the buttons of people who would otherwise say “no thanks” to being included in viewing such acts of debauchery. As people know, I am no bible thumper, but let us concede that straight people typically don’t want to see queer men making out and simulating oral sex. But that makes us “intolerant” and malicious. Uh, right. In fact, most people probably don’t want to see the actions described above between heterosexuals, either. (Count me among them.) So therefore, we criticize such uncivilized behavior.

Following Lambert’s gross behavior, the liberal network, ABC, canceled his appearance on Good Morning America. Good for them for listening to the viewers.

Lambert said this in 2009: “My goal was not to piss people off; it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom.” Uhhh…pushing someone’s face into your crotch or licking their tonsils on TV is “artistic expression?” Perhaps if he was to drop his pants and take a nasty old shit on the corner of a busy intersection, that might be artistic expression that we all should appreciate? Thanks Adam, but sometimes definitions do matter.

Decivilization broke out at a Burlington Coat Factory store in Columbus, Ohio when some nutcase announced to customers that she had won a lottery and would pay for everybody’s merchandise.

People flooded the registers as cashiers began ringing up purchase after purchase, but Brown had not yet paid the bill, Deakins said. At least 500 people filled the aisles and another 1,000 were outside trying to get in, he said.

She even wrote a check for one gal who begged for rent money. Of course, she had no money at all, in spite of arriving at the store in a limousine.

That’s when angry customers, realizing they weren’t getting free coats, began throwing merchandise on the floor and grabbing clothes without paying for them, Nace said.

“Everybody was like, ‘I still want my free stuff,’ and that started the riot,” he said. “It looks like (Hurricane) Katrina went through the store.”

This can only happen in a society where its people have been trained to sniff out handouts and collectively assemble to suck the gigantic nipple in the sky. This is the entitlement mentality in action. People acting like frenzied animals, being driven to rioting and looting over the smell of free merchandise. The modern entitlement era, as we know, includes the right to own a home, the right to health care, the right to have a Hummer, and the right to live beyond your means (buying useless crap with money you don’t have) and have someone else pick up the bill. Any sensible, self-sufficient individual in that store would not have believed this malarky, let alone dare to stick around in the store during the melee.

Inside the Wayne County morgue in midtown Detroit, 67 bodies are piled up, unclaimed, in the freezing temperatures. Neither the families nor the county can afford to bury the corpses. So they stack up inside the freezer.

Albert Samuels, chief investigator for the morgue, said he has never seen anything like it during his 13 years on the job.

Some bodies have been at the morgue for 5+ years. I think this article has too much emphasis on this problem being caused by poverty on the part of families. The county’s chief medical examiner, Carl Schmidt, says, “One way we look back at a culture is how they dispose of their dead.” It’s not just a money/economic issue, it’s also a cultural issue. We’re talking about the same generations of people (my generation included) who dump their family members and parents into decrepit nursing homes because they don’t want to be bothered with them, yet they can’t wait to get their hands on the dough when they die.

As an aside, when exploring this topic online, I came across this great kid, from Alaska, and his 5-minute analysis of the Detroit dead, Obama, unemployment, and his thoughts on fascism and corporatism. He’s young, and he’s already thinking about things that people twice his age have no clue about. I think Lew Rockwell should invite this inquisitive young mind to Mises University …
