    Good article Karen!…and it should be noted since the CFC’ers ended auto sales have PLUMMETED. The propaganda the Obama administration put out that the program would ‘jumpstart’ the auto industry proved to be false. ….the industry is back in the toilet. ….and the US taxpayer is poorer for it.

    Your article is right on the mark. Bach when cash for clunkers was first discussed, car donation charities asked that the c4c cars be given to them. Those cars in poor shape would be scrapped. Those in good shape would be repaired, if needed, and either sold or given to needy people. Had this been done, many of the negative consequences of cash for clunkers would have been avoided.
