Bomb Squad Secures Courthouse From a … Coconut?

In Frederick, Maryland, a bomb squad was called to investigate a terrorist threat¬†outside of the county courthouse. The area outside of the courthouse was cleared, and the threatening terrorist device, a coconut, was discovered. This is my favorite line from the story: “The fruit was determined not to be dangerous.”

Isn’t the frenzied terror state a wonderful thing to behold? Thanks to Dennis Shogren for the link.

For some reason all I can think of is Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire: “It was terrorists, Sir! They run that way, A run by fruiting!”

In the right hands (say, Randy Johnson), a coconut can be a deadly projectile.

Might want to give the judges helmets.

The first thing I thought of was the food fight in “Animal House.” Fruit not dangerous? Ha! That’s what they think!
