At last, a film that portrays real values at work. Hopefully the 2nd and 3rd sequels will go more in depth into man’s values and why values are derived internally…not externally from religion or any transcendental source. We need to see the “ideal” displayed in art…it energizes us, makes us stand up and yell ‘hoorah’ for the good guy/gal and let’s that spark within us brighten to a higher level.

“rtaylor” can’t speak to your dismissive view towards “transcendentalism” (Thoreau), but the film debut hints at soemthing more – that of being a real man and perhaps, regarding a god that is entirely immanent and w/in us. How `bout that view? Wow! God is inside of us and WE ARE GOD!

Even Ayn did not get this shiite!

    But can you?

It helps us ALL seek peace upon the “Kingdom of Heaven Here On Earth”.

It is a message worth hearing and digesting; peace brother…

Well, Iluvatar, since you are god and I am god, and god definitely implies a perfection, I am perfectly right to say what I choose as you are. I had no idea the characters in Atlas Shrugged “hints” at the characters and you and I as being ‘gods’! That’s a real twist to the book and the movie. Methinks your ‘preachin’ is a real, real stretch. As far as the ‘spiritual’ side of man, his consciousness, Rand dismisses any arguments that it is independent from the body, Whether the consciousness is epiphenomenal, whether one day we will discover a gene that creates it (thus materialistic after all)…we’ll just have to wait and see.
