Another Blow Against Big Pharma

You know it’s really obvious when the mainstream calls out the dope therapy of Big Pharma as offering “no benefit.”

Doctors at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology in Atlanta on Sunday got some surprising news on their first day of sessions. Researchers presented three studies revealing that some of the most widely prescribed medications to reduce the risk of heart disease in Type 2 diabetes patients appeared not to provide much benefit at all.

In fact, the reports conclude that these drugs may even do more harm. And this was published in the New England Journal of Medicine, an ardent supporter of conventional, statist medicine. The power and influence of Big Pharma has been dwindling a bit, ever since the swine flu debacle happened. They’d better hurry up and get statins in the water. Thanks to Mark Fee for the link.

The majority of these drugs are nothing but a money grab. They do little to treat the illness and instead add a whole new host of serious problems, called “side-effects.” Diet and exercise are the major factors in preventing heart disease in diabetics and non-diabetics alike. However, our society is conditioned to pop a pill for every ill with the average american taking 10 or more prescription drugs per year. Just today I overheard a TV commercial for a drug that blared, “may cause death.” The permanent “side-effect,” imagine that?

SARS, Avian Flu, West Nile Virus, Bird Flu, H1N1 Swine Flu, Spanish Flu, Hong Kong Flu, Anthrax scare, Ebola, the heterosexual AIDS epidemic that never happened………….Im sure they will dream up another really good scare in another year or two.

My personal favorite scare was from Paul (Nostradamus) Ehrlich who once predicted that life expectancy in the US would drop to 42 in the US by 2000 (he said that in 1970) because of pesticide usage. He’s a big global warmist now, warning us that we are about to melt the plant after the coldest, snowiest winter in 3 decades in much of America.

Several years ago, I worked for a man who was (by his own admission) on 24 different pills for his heart condition. The side effects were such that even fluctuations in his weight would throw off the dosages and make him ill.
