Sandwich in a Can = Progress?

As if making a crappy sandwich for your child’s lunch every day isn’t lazy enough, it gets better: now there’s a sandwich in a … can? Yes, Candwich. The company refers to this as a “healthy lunch and snack food for kids.” So what is it – a lunch (meal) or a snack food? On the product information page, it says the following:

Each Peanut Butter and Jelly Candwichâ„¢ contains: a hot dog sized bun made from a special military developed formulation that allows it to stay sweet, soft and fresh for over a year, individual packets of peanut butter and jelly, and a Laffy Taffy as a sweet treat.

Bread that stays “soft” for over a year (quiz question: real food or not?), and a Laffy Taffy? Here’s the page that tells about the history of Candwich. As you can see (and you must view it), it is very comprehensive.

Who was it that said the movie Idiocracy was really a documentary?
